    This video was the best in certain for explain pir. i had the same issue in false triggering repeatedly in my project. were i used node mcu. at initially this problem was found only with the 3.3v pin latter i changed it to 5v supply from very same node mcu. it stated working fine. i guess there has to be something to do with the 5v. it doesn't work certainly for less than 3v!!!!

    1. (Important - Please answer when possible ) How can I reduce the sleep time after the trigger has ended. I'm reading that there is a 5 seconds sleep time/timeout after the trigger has ended. I want to reduce that to even lesser.
    2. I am not using the 7805, however I am using an Arduino to power the 5v to the sensor ? What's your recommendation .

    Q: I want to use a SSR Solid state relay instead of the one that you described. The SSR has 3 pins on the DC side ( DC+, DC- and CH pins )
    DC+ is for Power 5v ,

      Yes you can use it in give circuit.
      You just need to connect .. output terminal of PIR to the CH1 of solod state relay and rest of the circuit will remain same....usjng SSR is a good choice, as very less voltage is requie to trigger or On the SSR

    • @EngineerWithin

      There is no need of transistor in case of SSR

      The PIR on the output pin sends a 0.4V when there is NO motion and 1.98V when there is a motion.
      So in this case - since it is less than 2.5V in either cases, the relay will be always ON - at all times - I tried this already.
      What can I do - to overcome this challenge.
      How can I distinguish the 1.98v ( or make it 2V, or anything above 1.8V) bump up to > 3V so that the relay will be OFF.
      The SSR relay works in reverse.. when OFF, then it will enable the AC Load.

      You can use transistor as a switch, configure it in such a way that, transistor will not turn on on 0.4v

    • @EngineerWithin
      @EngineerWithin  4 роки тому +1

      Give the output of the transistor to relay...so when there is more than 0.1 v or more than that ... transistor will turn on and trigger the relay..
      Hope this solves your problem.
