I’ve just discovered this channel probably last week, and being a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast, it’s already become my favorite automotive channel on UA-cam. Brilliant variety of cars, attention to detail and information. Iain is an absolute genius and has incredible taste, although is too humble to admit it of course. He is an amazing wealth of knowledge, but also a GREAT guy in every way. Keep up the great work!! 😊

Y'know what: they all deserve to be featured. The Mini because everyone can relate to one, the Vanquish and DMC12 because all we know about these is from films. The Esprit because of the adage Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious - are they? The Bentley, e-type and Testarossa I think we've already seen?
Show the Esprit first. I've loved that car ever since The Spy who Loved Me...

@tommytraddles Lotus owners kind of expect those things. The Europa battery would tip over and spill battery acid in sharp cornering, which is why you bought a Europa (cornering, that is). Easy remedy, pretty sure the factory didn't address it until near the production run ended. Classic Hethel

Each time I see one of these videos I'm reminded of the incredible skill and talent that exists in the UK's "cottage industry." Here in Western Canada I can only watch with envy at England's hundreds or thousands of small automotive shops full of world class craftsmen and trades. Each marque seems to have dozens of excellent specialists to choose from. Where I am, a city the size of Birmingham, I can think of maybe 3 places I could trust with a pre-war car restoration, all with a 3-5 year wait list...
I wish container prices would go down so I could just ship my cars over for work every few years!

MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI!👍
FYI - back in 1988, a friend and I drove a 62 Mini Countryman Woody (with a 1200 motor) from San Jose California to New Jersey. The car ran like a dream, though it did struggle a bit climbing through the Rocky Mountain passes. We also hit a terrible rain storm in Nebraska, where the meager performance of the windshield wipers had us both entertained and terrified!😬👍

The E-type IRS was popular with reasonably well-off hot rodders in the 1960s and '70s. It looked good at the back end of a T-bucket, and was reasonably accessible when not buried under an E- or S-type.
A quality Mini restoration would make an interesting contrast to the complexity of exotics.

Hi Iain. My suggestion on the first car to film is the Mk1 Mini. But in saying that, I'm guessing the next car that you film will be the first car that is ready so all good no matter what car is next. I'm surprised that you cannot get a set of rotors for the Aston Martin, surely there is an aftermarket supplier that could supply an appropriate set of discs. Fun fact. Ian Callum was the designer for Holden Special Vehicles during the mid 90's.

I have been watching your videos for a year or two now and did not realize until I saw the rear end of a Tornado in the background of one of your shots that your shop is based at an airfield. As an airplane guy, and to lesser extent a car guy, that is a neat place to have your shop at least in my opinion.

It's Broughton airfield, also known as Hawarden, on the England/Wales border. It is home to an Airbus wing manufacturing facility.

Thanks Iain, I became a member too! Difficult to chose: top 3: Esprit, Mini, E-type! Love them all, curious about the outsider, DeLorean, because we don't see them that much!🙏👍

Definitely a video on the Mini as a first pick. It would be great to hear your take on them given the contract to the cars you usually deal with.
