together, they represent the embodiment of perfection. the synchronization, the grace...there exists a true spiritual connection between these two souls, visualized through dance
Such amazing dancers.....technique, grace, fitness, soul, spirituality....they have it all.....pity, I cannot find a single good quality video of their dance in youtube (specially this Ardhanarishwar piece)....hope they are recording these and keeping in Nrityagram....
I am just blown over by their grace, style and perfection of movement. Never seen anything like it, and don't believe I ever will see anything similar.
How can one miss the soft melodious male singer who renders the Ardhanareeshwara ashtaksm(?) by one of the later the Shankaracharyas, most probably not by Adi Shankara. The lyrics are excellent.
+Charles Ma If you do the same piece then its carnatic, no offense. Anyways that's just what I think, I don't know much detail on these things so excuse me if I'm wrong. But I just love Odissi and loved seeing it being performed this way.
The Ardhanarishwara Stotram was composed by Adi Shankaracharya and was originally set in Carnatic music. It has undergone changes over the years. More so, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Oddisi have many similarities and some very stark divergences as well. :)
Speechless performance... the best duo ever!
The chemistry between them is beyond words... Yes, they are breathing together....

Oh my god, no words can describe this sacred and holy dance. It’s beyond of perfection. ♥️
Wow! Usually, I focus on South Indian styles and don't often see Odissi, but this is one of the most incredible dance performances I have ever seen.
