i love how you created these background papers - i have a set of gelatos - maybe used them once or twice but now i can't wait to give this technique a try - i look forward to seeing what you make from these - thank you Tina - and be well 🤗
Hi Tina. Thanks for showing your experiences with these paint sticks 💖💖. The final result is very beautiful, and it teaches us that it doesn't matter what kind of supplies you have as long as you don't give up and play with them until you like the result (or if not: rip it into pieces and glue them randomly together).
I couldn't resist seeing what you did with these paint sticks Tina! I use them on collage cards around the edge and in lots of ephemera, they're super quick and cheap 👍😁 and so much fun! Thanks for the mention and lovely to see you making paper. Hugs, Joie 💜🌿
I bought some paint sticks after watching joie use them too and I put them on the paper with a wet wipe and they blend lovely that way, it didn't work with water for me either so I always use a wet wipe now and get beautiful results cause its wet enough but not too wet
Hello Tina, I enjoyed watching you experiment with the paint sticks. The stamping on the background paper really looked good to me, liked it a lot better. Thanks for sharing.
Loved the pages! I need some new pages to work with and I will definitely give these a try! Loved the added stamping! Thanks for just jumping in and trying on camera!! Thanks for all you show us Tina!!
I’ve never used these but have checked them out on Amazon, I love the page you did using the gesso the colors blended better plus it had the pink lol 😂 that I love so much & once you stamped on the paper I thought it was beautiful. If you like it you should copy the paper cause you know once you have something so pretty it’s hard to make it again the same. Thanks for sharing 🥳💗
I think they turned out great! You make me laugh! By the time you cut the background down and decorate it….it won’t look them same. Just by stamping on them totally transformed the look. You should use them however they work for you!!!! Thanks for having fun and bringing us along!
Tina, I like when you experiment making your own paper, it’s all pretty but I liked when you used the stencil brush! You show no fear of trying things with us along! I love listening to you, especially when you talk about the fun you have with your kids! It sounds like you have so much fun with them! Hugs!🥰
I had some gel sticks that I hadn't played with either. So I played along with you. The paper we did drawing on without Gesso also didn't blend for me but I used it to stamp on with you and you can't really tell with all the stamping. The one taking a brush directly from the stick made nice soft blended color edges on the paper. Then with the one Gessoed I drew on it and it blended real nice allthough a much rougher texture. Thanks for the playdate it was fun.
I saw them on Joie's video too! Got the smaller metallic pack, love using them 💕 especially the gold and silver on edges. I find it dries quick, is like a crayon, not like normal paint
Thank you for sharing. Was wondering how these crayons would look like on paper. I thought the baby wipe did the trick. Pages you created I really like. Turned out beautiful.
After playing with gelattos, I can tell you gessoed paper works much better. I also mix some of it with clear or white gesso to use as paint. If I go in with just a dry stick, I blend with fingers or a baby wipe but you still see the crayon strokes. You can also do the ink smushing technique. Just scribble some on your mat, spray with water (if needed, mix it around with your paintbrush), and then use your paper to soak it up.
I think some paint sticks come with a makeup applicator and a plastic palette knife. And your thought about gesso may be helpful. It’s been a long time since I tried them, so thanks! Love to revisit art supplies I may have pushed under somethingF!😉
I have never used this type of paint stick either, but it looks like maybe you could use your finger to smear the colors together. Maybe the heat from your hands would help them blend, I don't know. I doesn't look like the water has any affect on them. They are beautiful though. I think you are making some great background pages with them!!!!!! It is such a neat idea to stamp on them!!!!!
Thanks for experimenting with us on camera!! 💜😊Are these water soluble? They might blend better with your alcohol ink blending solution 🤔🤔 I wonder what would happen if you put them on paper and then ironed over them ..using baking parchment to not muck up your iron, of course. 🙄 I couldn't help it. I had to look them up and it says they are water soluble but they sure don't act like it. More like washable crayons or an oil pastel. 🤷🏼♀️🤔 Thanks for your perseverance testing these out, they really did turn out pretty 🙂💜
Lol did you record this a while ago? If not then I might be psychic🙊. I'm wondering if my crayons will work. most mediums work best on gesso and wet baby wipes. Wipes are also good for blending acrylics too. Oh it's good to learn together, if you don't try I might not! If in doubt get the gesso out 😄. I love watching you experiment! Those paints look as if they'd give most people problems! Your splodges are working though! Never say sorry for your spirit of adventure Tina it's a great quality to have 😁. Oh layering up with stamps is transforming it! Tfs and have a great day 💖💖
I've got a set of paint sticks from the kids section of hobbycraft. Came in a clear case. I like them, I use them with other paint mediums. I don't use them this thickly though. I think you need more water
Hi Tina.. to me the crayons looked to dry . I would have thought they should have been creamy . I like the pike one best. Be great to see what you will do with it. Something fabulous I bet.🙂🇦🇺
After watching Joie use the paint markers on her channel, like you, I bought a set. Also, like you, I found they were not as easy to work with as I had hoped. Paints like Joie, they don’t like me. 🙁
This is a very interesting video. I must say I don't understand what you wanted to do because you didn't like the bright strong color nor the "water color" subtle colors. I'm not trying to criticize you, I'm just unsure what you were trying for. I really liked the first paper that you made by drawing on the color but I guess we all have different ideas.
Hi. i purchased some water colour paint sticks for £2 from the pound shop & they were much better than these. i think they are poor quality for the price & would buy a child or adult the pound shop ones to play with. Tfs. :-)
I love that you experiment on camera. You give people the courage to try stuff they normally wouldn't. Keep it up, Tina!
Thank you so much Hilda x

I like the stamping it really makes the paper look pretty!
Hi Tina, I love your fearlessness!! It’s amazing how the stamping completely changes the look of the paper. Hugs 🤗
I enjoy watching you experimenting with different things in the end they always turn out so beautiful. Have a great day.

It's great to see you don't stop..and just keep going till you get something. By the end you have these awesome looking backgrounds, kudos to you !!!

The wet wipes just work perfectly don’t they? X

Brilliant Tina. Love it.

Have never used paint sticks. Thanks for the info!❄️❤️❄️🇨🇦

Yes, they do dry really quickly don’t they? Which is really handy x
I like it stamped on
Will be perfect on a master board or die cut flowers.
Thank you for sharing. Was wondering how these crayons would look like on paper. I thought the baby wipe did the trick. Pages you created I really like. Turned out beautiful.
The baby wipes just work so well for everything don’t they? X

It's fun to learn together!! Namesta ✌️🕉️🐞
beautiful!!!
Apparently these dry in about 60 seconds, but can be reactivated with water. Fabulous share, thanks, I want some now
Oh that’s fantastic to know, thank you x
I do not think they are rubbish. I loved them. I think use less water.but they turned out ok.🥰
I think some paint sticks come with a makeup applicator and a plastic palette knife. And your thought about gesso may be helpful. It’s been a long time since I tried them, so thanks! Love to revisit art supplies I may have pushed under somethingF!😉
When I think of collages , think it would be great

I use my fingers to smear them Betty 👍👍
cool

Thank you so much Sandra x
I love it!!!!😀
Scribble the colors beside the paper and add water

I think you’re right, more water would have definitely helped x

Use your fingers. It melts the color..then spray with water and let colors run.
I Like the papers you have created. I am wondering why the "crayon" comes out in big chunks?
It’s probably me pressing too hard, 🤭 x
@@shabbydabbydoodah
Well still, the papers turned out pretty. 💞
Maybe you should of used water color paper just a thought.
When you scribbled the stick on your mat, you needed to use a palette knife to mix the chunks with water to make a smooth paint.
Where are the stamps that you’ve used this week from please?
Are you using water color paper?
No, it’s just regular paper, watercolour paper would have been better x
@@shabbydabbydoodah ok thank you
After watching Joie use the paint markers on her channel, like you, I bought a set. Also, like you, I found they were not as easy to work with as I had hoped. Paints like Joie, they don’t like me. 🙁
Yes, she makes it look so easy doesn’t she? Still worth persevering though, lol x
Mayne if you get your paint stick wet, than apply it to the paper.
Great idea, thank you x

I had a whole lot of stamps that melted from using wipes made me sick
Oh no, that’s gutting! 😢😢 x
What a mess, but at the end it came out nice. Those crayons were not that great tho.
Lol, thank you x
