What's funny is that this show was way more memorable for me than any other teen shows because it felt real. How it ended felt very realistic because not every love works out in the end no matter how much both people love each other. Memorable, because it was sad.
here are some other shows you should watch (Also teenage TV Shows/teen tv shows) Teen Wolf One tree hill Jericho KYLE XY The vampire diaries Sex Education Switched At birth Twisted Heroes Wildfire Gilmore Girls
In retrospective, it's so funny the plot is so unreal, I mean there's few people like Sandy Cohen in this world that would a boy like Ryan, in the other hand, a fire burning a house in episode 2, a cat fight between Julie and Kristen's sister, Ryan's brother attempt to rape Marissa and then the after gun shot, Julie getting into a relationship with ex boyfriend of her daughter and then having a child with Ryan's father in final season, the porn video of Julie, Marissa experimenting with same sex relationship, I mean this was more a railcoaster than any other TV show I've seen. But somehow it feal so real and you fell in love with the characters. I wished to had a friendship just like Ryan and Seth's and a loving wife like Kristen.
This f**king show gave all the girls in my class American accents when I was in school... I live in f**king Ireland. And now having an American accent is just a normal thing here for people who've never even lived anywhere else. It all started with the OC.
The Nerd started becoming cool around this time, with Adam Brody's performance as Seth Cohen likely helping push the trend. I like how he was never viewed as lesser, outside of Luke (at the beginning) and his cronies.
20+ years since watching and still laughing how I never noticed that practically every conversation started with "hey." (I can't believe that in just a few months I am finally going to LA to see some of these sites 😭)
And to think the actor that played Seth would have been the first flash. And I don't care what anybody says this show proved to me. He would have been one of the best Barry Allen/flash in live action ever. He gives me Barry vibes in this show in certain scenes. And man just league mortal script wasnt perfect. But the way they set it up. It was amazing....
He wasn’t allowed to smoke on the Cohen property so we can just assume he gave them up. I’m pretty sure he says he quit to Theresa when she got the job as a server in OC and bumped into him
I watched the turkish version and it was epic everytime i watced all over again i feel the same feelings like i watched the first time wow amazing the Acteurs the music i love everythings about it you really have to watch it the turkish name its Med Cezer🥰 2013 2015 Beautiful years
I remember this show was popular in Australia. I was 14 in 2003 when it first aired. I was a fat teen and as you may remember in the early 2000s, if you arnt stick thin you are considered a whale lol. I remember always loving how thin marissa is lol. I watched the oc all seasons at age 35 earlier this year and loved it. Season 1 and 3 are the best.
EDIT: wow, 6 months later and really? You people can't be serious. You ACTUALLY think I literally have PTSD from a 00s aesthetic? Shit, there's no hope for humanity if y'all reading comprehension is THAT bad. god this show and all of its kind were/are utter trash... and for heavens sake, can we please stop casting 20-somethings as teens? No wonder young people have body image issues, they're comparing themselves to 20-something models... and the peak 00s of this is giving me PTSD!
I see your point with the actor playing the main hero being 23, not 17, but the other actor (Mischa Barton) was actually 17. But does it matter since people can look really different? And should we ruin the most important young ages of future actors by playing and being fully adult from teenage? And this series was not really about body images.
the biggest love story on this show is Seth and Ryan
True, all the girls were just filler.
They were good bros that's all a man can ask for is a bro that's with him no matter what
True!
Absolutely. Probably the healthiest relationship on the show lol!
summer and marissa too

It’s because the dialogue in this show felt real
The OC been too real, can manage to watch it over and over again, perfect piece of goodness
except season 4 lol
After season 3 it went to crap
Love it!
Adam Brody saying xoxo hits different knowing he’s married to Blair in real life 😍

This year it’s drinking legally
@@rachelsharp718 i think somethings wrong with me im too nostalgic lol
The OC was great! Especially season 1 and 2.
Had season 2 remained in the same time slot as S1, would the series have lasted 6 or even 5 seasons?
yeah man 100 percent 3 and 4 were boring
Lmfao all these new kids just finding this series, this series was fucking godly back in the day
yes no maybe... I dont know, can you repeat the question?
@Rick Mortar he is talking about kids exactly like you
On God show was great
@@kingslayer011 Right here 🙋♀️
I'm 40 and just found this show so ...😛
Nostalgic for me. I loved this show! I wish every guy loves his girl as much as Ryan loves Marissa.
Marissa was no damn good; Ryan was saved from a miserable life when she died.
@@CaneFu facts
@@CaneFu that’s so not true, marissa was a good character. and ryissa were a good couple
@@gm.8805 Marissa had terrible judgement and was also disloyal to Ryan.
the nostalgia is too real..
If my life could be a tv show this is what it would be
Back then I was 9-10 years old watching O.C. on my squarish box TV lol good times

It all started with the OC.
🤣🤣🤣 that's a crazy/cool story
Omg that's funny 🤣
omg I'm happy to be french, you can tell, it didn't happen here 🤭
All these people are cool. Even the nerd is cool.
The Nerd is The Hottest and Most Handsome on this TV Series
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
The Nerd started becoming cool around this time, with Adam Brody's performance as Seth Cohen likely helping push the trend. I like how he was never viewed as lesser, outside of Luke (at the beginning) and his cronies.
One of the best TV shows ever, the only Soap Opera I'm willing to watch.
I cant watch this it brings back so many good memories..man how time flies
1:41 Adam sounded like hiccup from how to train your dragon
I'm definitely buying all the series so I can watch this
you can find the DVD sets pretty cheap... definitely worth picking up!
I would never give summer up she had a good point

U never see Ryan smoke After He first meets Marissa

Good God I still love this show!
I miss this
So, this was basically the 2000s version of Beverly Hills 90210, got it👍
but better.
much better. Dont disrespect The OC. Show had one of the best Pilot episodes of any other show & Show doesnt have a single bad episode
Really like this show
Never knew this show existed, probably I was working nights.
It's like a Soap Opera with better acting. The acting still gives me a little bit of that Soap Opera feel but it's not unwatchably bad.
It's a like a soap opera, yes. But the acting has nothing to do with a soap opera, not even a bit. Here it's realistic.
"i only thought you could paint the ceiling". what did she mean by that?
how did u get these clips, been trying so hard to find OC scene packs.

Ryan ❤
Bilson 🔥
Is that detective James Gordon? GCPD!!
I love o.c
The tool doesnt know about tools 😂

Link… (greys anatomy)
So in season 1 ep 1 .. the lawyer brought a felon at his home ? I mean i am 5 min in and the attorney is dumb as hell… how does he makes his decision
Love this show! Peter Gallagher--delicious and his wife
Three good seasons and then, they killed Marisa. It was the death of the series.
same as when Peyton and Lucas left One Tree Hill.
@jeffkuzzen they can still come back for a revival Marissa can't
Killing marissa is crazy the show was really about her lol
And then he sailed away 😔
Ryan
The oc starts ticking right now
Remember when you thought this show wasn’t cringe
How bullshit best fucing show should still be on TV.
We're getting old...
The O.C. was great until they decided to change it to a not so great comedy.
wtf
The Turkish remake of this show called Medcezir (The Tide) is a hundred times better.
nothing beats ryan atwood
No it isn't
