- Hi guys, today we'll unbox my new sewing machine. it is the singer 4411 heavy duty, this machine is a much needed upgrade. RIP my old brother machine. If you have any question about sewing or sewing machine: ask away =D

I have always wanted to learn how to sew and my hubby granted my wish 💕 I knit and crochet, but I am a complete newbie to sewing. My sewing over the years has consisted of hand sewing buttons on shirts and jackets and holes in seams. I was looking on UA-cam for videos on this machine and found yours and LOVE IT! I will be watching your beginner series too😉

I am looking to buy a Singer sewing machine and is going to get a heavy duty type for the work I want to complete and also for features I will consider later on. Due to the current pandemic I want to be able to sew masks to help the health professionals and also build some items I need at home. I thank you for sharing this video with us all and showing us the features of this machine and hope it gives you everything you need and expect in a quality sewing machine.
Thank you, I purchased the 4423 over the Toyota and I'm glad that I chose the right machine. The $105 Amazon this past Black Friday price was just too irresistible to pass on so I took a chance.

Did you purchase one? How did it compare to the CS-6000i? The Brother is a great machine but quickly shows its weakness with thick materials or several layers.
I just bought mine on Amazon for $107. Future videos I would like to see: how to do cleaning and maintenance on the 4411 and trouble shooting. I keep reading horror stories about tension problems. Thankfully, Amazon offers a 3-year protection plan, which I purchased for $7. However, so far, so good.
I bought the 4432 for 115. Next day it went up to 145. Just have to keep checking daily if you're interested
Can I sew denim fabric with this machine ? Because I'm a little scare about if my needle going to be broke after sewing this fabric

You already have you machine so just in case any other seniors are reading: yes it has a light but does not have a needle threader

If you re sewing faux leather and jeans the heavy duty series will be great, I don't know much about the 44s tho
How many stitches do you want/need? You will notice the different model numbers will be mostly for the number of stitches offered. I recommend you look at a machine with 1100 stitches/minute.

I just bought mine at JoAnn Fabric but I want to get a case for it and found one on Amazon. It appears a universal case is the same size as a 4411 .
leeinvegas I got the universal sewing case at Amazon.com and when I got it ,it was 19.99.And I have that sewing machine.

What is the difference between the singer heavy duty 4423 and the singer heavy duty 4411
There are more stitches and an automatic threader on the 4423
what kind of machine should i get for sewing lightweight leather? I want to augment some jeans and shirts and make them more flame retardant ( very useful for people like me)
+ChaaaalesNooo this machine is going to be great for both lightweight and heavy duty jobs, after it depends on your budget. the Toyota super jeans looks great and is not too pricey, it has a great gliding foot for bulk. If you don't mind me asking why do you need to make your clothes flame retardant? =D
+CraftGyver i don't mind. I'm a structural Welder at a shipyard in the gulf of Mexico. I'd be lying if i said i never caught on fire haha. realistically, i just need the front half of my shirt and the thigh portion of my pants to be leather. probably not even that thick of leather either

Any sewing machine needle you can find in fabric store will work fine =D

+Susanti Alkhaeriyah i don't know anything about the 8280, my advice would be to read reviews on all the machines you are considering, i am sorry I am not more helpful, but I don't want to give you some bad advice =D

Well, I must admit that when I posted this comment, my machine was new and I didn't have it threaded correctly. Lol. My Mom kept telling me over the phone that, "its something really simple, I promise. You have to learn the machine." She was right. There's a tiny little loop\space where the thread goes before its threaded in the needle that I wasn't aware of, and most videos Ive seen do not show this step. I was so frustrated and now Ive been sewing like a champ ever since.
