Loved this whole series. Love your style and how youre not just pushing for a company. Or how you're just real. Feels more like dock talk other just a spokesman trying to sell something. You have literally helped me to be a better angler and helped me win money in event
Bought some zo-wires to replace the hooks on all my choppos and ploppers. I knew from you talking about them they were good, and ladies & germs, THEY ARE! Thx for that tidbit CastaHunter!👍🏽
Bro that Bully and Yellow Perch color is the DEAL... I love that Bully color in a lot of their crank baits.. especially for dirty water!! It's fire 🔥 fire and in ANY square bill.. that and the Perch color scheme.. those are 2 of my Go To colors.. for sure!!!! And that Owner Haymaker is a GAME CHANGER.. I got my hands on a few of those through a buddy of mine who's on the elites because I was lucky and he had them on his boat before I heard of them, an they seriously are a GAME CHANGER when it comes to hooks. I think they could've named it that... and people would've understood why it's a GAME CHANGER after the first time they had to Pry the hook out of that fish's mouth!! It freckin GETS'EM!!! Its crazy I fish somewhat similar to your style!! Nowhere near the knowledge, and I will be the first to admit that.. but my style as far as power fishing.. reflects everything you showed! If there was a way I could take a picture and leave it with this comment I could show you most of those baits tied on to the rods that are on the deck of my boat right now!! Anyway bro stay safe out there.. watch out for the idiots as always, and tight lines ✌️💪🎣. ( this series..👍💰👏👏👏👏💪🦾🤘)!!!
Todd I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. Thank you so much for taking the time to put all this together. The best bass fishing UA-cam channel hands down. O and by the way, tell Strike King to do the same thing with the structure swing head as they done with the wobble head!
Great job on the baits rods and line used. I like to point brought out on using the 20 lb line to crank. Also I get the colors and trying something a little different. Looking forward to your next series. Great job. Thanks
I know you may not believe me but I would say test the trapper hook that tackle warehouse has on clearance. They are extremely cheap and to this day I have yet to ever lose a fish with that style of hook. I’ve even had time with the way is designed the hook will actually in bed twice into the fish. I frankly think they’re incredible and it’s a shame they went out of business. I know I’m not a pro but I fish a lot of Texas rig and as long as I’ve said the hook not one has ever come off. Be interested in your thoughts since you can get a lot and different sizes for less than five bucks
You trip me out with those big ass reels, I definitely understand why and some you some 300 .and 400 size reels for certain things but day in and day out I it's hard to do that to myself. Thank you for keeping/bringing over some of the original colors of the HH/bubba and box fits those things perfectly, thanks for that idea! Shooter has got to be the best bottom contact and abrasion resistant line available. Yes Xplasma is the best braided line on the market (at least out of the reasonably priced stuff). It pretty much doesn't absorb water at all, it's legit! Most of all thank you for this entire deep waters thing! From the series, to having Brent on, to this vid. So much knowledge poured over the course of it, can't stress or say it enough, thank you! Instead of being series 2 or season 2, just call it Deep Waters (Name of waterway). So this would be "Deep Waters Choke Canyon", the next could be "Deep Waters Red River" Sorry I had to lol! Todd if you haven't, and you're going to think I'm crazy, try 18# or 30# Xplasma no leader for deep cranking (your mind is telling you to quit reading at this point but don't lol) as long as the visibility is less than the depth you're cranking. Since there is no light penetration at those depths the line is 100% invisible. Fish can't see the line, you get a ton of strength with no worries of breaking off, more action in the bait and deeper dive depths due to the thinner diameter, and the bait is more responsive to you due to the lack of stretch. While stretch can be a good thing, with the right rod it isn't necessary. Slap some stx 45 zo wires on and you're good to go! Seriously give it shot, I found it out from testing out different things, then searched and to my surprise David Fritts also uses braid for cranking.
Will you tell S.K. to make that wobble head design with the interchangeable hooks in the structure head instead of the football head? That head design comes through grass and brush so much better.
Awsome breakdown. Like your train of thought about lures and colors. Like the fact that you didn't overthink colors. "Had it tied on, got bit and kept throwing." As a co-angler and being limited during a tournament on rods I changed up this year and use 15 to 17lbs test on 2 rods and keep a stick that I have 20lbs test on for flipping and hybrid hunter. 1 with 40lbs braid for topwater . And have a spare reel with 50 to 60 lbs braid. Will have to give the fluorocarbon you use a shot.
Just came up on my notifications. Thank you UA-cam....also ..im excited like a kid to confirm my suspicions on rigs...but dude...awesome..thx for being honest about the last spot choice lol...ok gotta listen
Awesome series of videos! I found myself looking for the next one in series to come out about 2 days ahead of schedule!! It’s a really fresh break from all of the standard, generic bass videos we all see on YT!! Keep up the great work!!
Such a great series. Thank you for that! Would love to see a future series of your personal method for rigging and changing out treble hooks, line, and boat preparation for a tournament. What baits to make sure to bring or maybes and what to not bring along (Not to find out colors what bodies or spots from you). Yes, I know its been done in scattered youtube videos, but to wrap it all up in a series would definitely give great perspective from a professional. Thanks again 👊
Hey Todd picked up some plasma braid, sniper 20 pound, and two hybrid hunters! Currently I have a 7’3 medium heavy rod but looking to get a 7’6 medium heavy following your lead here. Would spooling up the 7’3 with the braid be the best move as a swim jig, top water/frog, chatterbait rod? Thinking about using the 7’6 for deep cranking and If I need to pitch and flip with floro. I’m alittle confused if you like floro or braid better for swim jigs based on that one vid where you said you liked the feel of braid for swim jigs. Cheers! Best channel out there 💯
Most definitely the best series of videos of on how to catch fish, I don't know of anyone on YT has ever done this type of videos, must be great to work with strike king & lews 2 big names in fishing. I've tried to get the haymaker hook it's always sold out,! Look forward for the next series!👍
Question about the wobble head… seems like there would be a very small chance of the hook coming out of the clip. Is there any concern with this style for you Todd? Seems like it would have to be a head and it would have to twist juuuust right. But this question has kept me from buying them.
Just experience with both. Without being negative I’ll just say this one is way better than the other. I’ve broken the FX1 it damages quicker, has more memory when casting. The plasma beats it in every category and keeps it’s color. It’s better than everything and it’s not even close
Great live last night and great video today thanks ol budd I'm gonna try the plasma braid and the lews rods and reels ive always been stuck on shimmano reels , falcon rods ...and I buy diffrent rods thinking there good but there not. Falcon only makes so many rods and there's alot of rods out there I only like a few of there rods. Lews always felt weird to me and I want cork and I never see lews with full cork. Mabe these proto types will come out and I can get one ? Lol and if u like that one rod that much im gonna try it and see what all the fuss is about.
About 1 to 2 foot max. Being able to cast further is more important, right rod for casting is more important, plus Sunline still uses the old diameter when it comes to their test line. I’ve done a whole video on the subject. Will make you think twice about the so called 20# test line you buy from other companies and whether it’s really the same diameter
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 All I ever buy is Sunline I have found it to be the best and most consistent line. By consistent I mean in the overall quality. Tried other brands and kept finding out that the quality of the line was just absolute trash so now all I use is the Sunline!
Not by much what most of us do is use the sniper for more casting applications and the shooter for more durable type applications. Flipping, dragging, in cover type stuff
Hey Todd, this is off topic, but I would like to get together with you sometime and show you a bait modification and see if you would be interested in taking it further. It's something that takes a bait that may only have a short bite window and makes it more efficient, more casts per hour.
Yes quite a bit lots of small Swimbaits on squadron heads with small rage tails. I use 16 a lot for small crank baits. Use some of those when fishing really clear lakes with shaky heads.
I really enjoyed the deep water videos and the Alabama series. Love this content
awsome series todd thank you
That haymaker is absolute money MONEY 💴, I GOT LIKE 10 packs in all sizes. Keep it up Tad!! 😂🤙🏻
You raided them 😂😂
Man, y’all better pay attention cuz Todd just puts the juice out there, like for real.

Loved Every episode u did in the deep water. Learned a lot can't wait till the next 1
The hat is back, yes. Much respect for the work you do
Just became a proud Member of the Round table! Love this channel and the content. Keep it up Todd!

The perfect dirty detail end to this leg of the series. What you need to know, the 100% truth, no extras. Perfect.

good breakdown of the line size on crankbaits

Thanks mucho. J

That plasma braid is very hard to find here in NC
Is it really? Go straight to tackle warehouse I don’t think I’ve ordered a bait from anywhere else in years

I bought a super duty wide with a 6:4.1. I opted for the wide over the 300 any thoughts?
Yes I thought the wider would be better but it’s perfect the way it is. They make a 7:2:1 it’s all I get.
How much depth do you lose by cranking with 20lb line compared to 10 or 12lb line?

I hate when you set the hook on a mean choke fish and think this might be a good one and comes up as a 3#er like what the heck was that
Everyone of them on choke should be an 8#
