I loved him. I think he still influences me to this day. He is in that sweet spot between art and commercial that so many of my favorite artists are. I’m sad he isn’t more well known
Very helpful review. As a Londoner, appropriately the owner of a coastguard hat that I could wear as a GM, I am tempted. That's an incredibly favourable summation you offer. I take your point on some of that art though. They're 'aving a giraffe.
lol - (re knowing how to run and play in London) I'm quite convinced there's more Americans in London than folks from Northern England! I'm still looking forward to getting this one. The system simplifications you mentioned seem intuitive and sensible. As always, many thanks for sharing the review.
It’s one of my favourite RPG’s at the moment. As a Runequest player I was worried that the slimmed down system would ruin things-far from it. Like you I think 8th Ed C of C will go this way. A good review and fair comment about some of the art

@@Thegaminggang I'm a generalist at heart, but the weird world-building focused rpgs are my favorite. I'm also a sucker for steampunk/sci-fi crossovers. The Wildsea is my current jam. Anything come to mind in the same vein?

I've heard of The Wildsea but not familiar with it in any way so I can't give you a recommendation along its lines. ~ Jeff
Is it more Harry potter? Dresden Files or World of Darkness in style?
I would say, Dresden Files. It's urban fantasy noire. I'm sure The Dresden Files would have inspired Ben Arnovitch.
