Really useful video mate. Santa kindly bought me one for Christmas and this has helped immensely. I’m off to do battle with two cars in a bit! Subscribed too
It's good practice to purge all the air from your water feed hose and the machine's pump before you switch the machine on, your machines pump will last longer.
Used it once, was brilliant, went to use It a second time, would not turn on had to take it back to Screwfix, they offered me the smaller one which I needed urgent. Titan seem to have a problem with the on/off switch 🤔
Hoping it was just a faulty one. I think Titan tools can be hit and miss unfortunately. I'm currently going through some of their bigger power tools and most have been fine but had a little problem with the band saw. As I'd had it a while without opening it I decided to do a bodge fix instead of returning
thank you .. I used a similar one before where the hose was automatically reeled up .. this model uses a hand reel .. just bought this one and find it to be super fecking annoying tbh . it doesnt want to wind round the reel at all
Thanks for the video I love mine but disappointed with the detergent bottle attachment… trying to use snow foam through it is rubbish … can you do a video on that per chance Thanks very much Chris
Hi mate, great video. I just bought one and noticed it doesn't come with a hose from the tap to the machine. It recommends max 10m length and min 0.5" diameter. But it seems they're hard to find. Any recommendations for a hose to buy?
Hi, to be fair I didn't even realise I was suppose to use a certain one. I've just used an old hosepipe I've had lying around. Well actually I've use two put together and it must be about 20m I'm not sure on the diameter though
@@thedoitalldad ok cool, thanks for replying. My problem is that whenever I turn on the power the machine makes a loud vibrating noise and then cuts out. I thought this was maybe because of the low water pressure in my garden hose, because it's all kinked and squished. So I thought maybe it was causing cavitation. I've ordered a new hose so I'm hoping that fixes it!
I've noticed it can take a little while to get to pressure and it will sound like it's turning on and off. I kept pulling the trigger every few seconds until the sound stops. I think when you're not spraying the machine is usually fairly quiet so I think it just needs to have enough water and pressure built up inside the machine to operate. But yes if you have kinks and there's not a constant flow of water to the machine it may struggle to keep pressure and cut out
@@MF_JONEStry bleeding the washer before you switch it on. Running the pump dry can damage it, so make sure the tap is on full, leave the machine off and run the water through for about 30 seconds, with no breaks in the water flowing out of the nozzle. Do this with no attachments. Then with the water flowing, turn the machine on and run it for about 15 seconds. That will make sure there's no air traps in the hose, the machine should work a treat then.
Thanks for your very informative video. Thinking of buying one soon and wondering would it remove weeds growing between concrete footpath and tarmacadam drive!?
Hi Theresa, I've had a quick look and it doesn't seem like you can buy the attachment on its own. It might be worth trying to get in touch with Titan directly to see if you can order one. If not, if anyone you know has a pressure washer with the patio cleaner attachment you could see if that fits on to your machine? If it does there seems to be a few universal attachments for sale. Hope this helps x
I see so many videos 8j how pressure washers work but cannot find videos about the actual connections from machine to water supply. Honestly I'm at a loss as to what thing to buy which connects water hose to both outside tap and machine (do many different connections) If there is a video you can do pls send me your link so I can buy right connectors to stop it popping off my pressure washer lol
Hello, thanks for the review. I just bought one of these and am struggling to work out how to wind the hose back on. I guess it needs detaching from the machine and from the gun, but I cant get it to wind back on using the handle. Any ideas please? Thanks
Yes that's right. When I bought it I assumed I'd be able to leave everything attached and wind it up but I think it's generally just for storage. I managed to get one of the ends of the hose cause behind one of the little hooks and reeled it in gently until the hose was round a few times. Hope this helps!
Mines has plenty of use and a year on still going strong. I do believe these things can be a bit hit and miss. I've had expensive karchers in the last that didn't last as long
Any idea what the difference is with the other option on screwfix that's 30 quid more expensive, seems to have same accessories and maybe a different bottle and the option for max and eco modes.. But is it really worth the extra money?
From what I can see thete seems to be some sort of extension piece and the hose is an extra 2m long. The pressure and power seem to be the same, the more expensive product looks smaller although weights slightly more (maybe it's built a little better?) Hope this helps
@@thedoitalldad thank you. Yes that's all I could see, a different soap bottle, the 10m hose instead and the ability to toggle between eco and max pressure mode and a slightly different look of the unit itself .. Seems not really worth the extra money

Every time we try to use this the hose blows off the tap, we need 1 person to turn the tap on while the other pulls the trigger, means we have to hold the trigger constantly until the job is done....any ideas on how to stop this?
Bet they're good for driveways and cleaning the cars wheels and wheel arches, seen people using a pressure washer to clean sandstone gateposts and sandstone blocks on tops of walls to come up a treat.
It's not 150 bar. Most manufacturers state the maximum pressure (because that's how most people mistakenly assess them). This isn't the actual working pressure (that will be about 100-110 bar). The maximum is a meaningless figure for the initial surge start for a fraction of a second. In some cases it's the max theoretical pressure at the pump head. But since it wouldn't last 2 mins it's set much lower, and lower still at the business end of the lance. Some but not all, state the working pressure in smaller text. Pressure above 100 bar isn't as important as l/min. A low flow means a narrow fan of water which takes longer to clean things
Thank you I appreciate that! I had a high end karcher that packed up after about 6 months during covid and was messed around with the refund and unfortunately never got one. So I thought I'd opt for a cheaper alternative and I haven't been disappointed
Sorry about that. Just a basic garden push for connection. One end to the tap the other end onto the pressure washer. Or in my case onto a second hose reel and then the next hose onto the presser washer as I was using it over a long distance
Yeah someone else also mentioned the pressure is not likely to be as advertised. I mean I'm no expert with all the technical stuff but based on performance I've been more than happy and luckily it's still going strong
