Pretty cool figure. Nice height to this one. Cool paint on the fingernails. Interesting double hinged legs. Great head sculpt. The saw blades are nice but would have been better if they could be removed or retractable. Good articulation. Thanks Spot!
The blades not being able to be removed is a big bummer. It looks great. I like the black knight overall look. Gypsie Avenger’s battle with Fury was a clash of knights. The paint work on it is nice. The double jointed knees don’t work well due to the sculpt. The bottom hinge doesn’t have the clearance it needs going backward. It will swing forward a greater degree. My left hip is looser than I would want. It’s okay. Great buy for a 9” figure at $25.
Obsidian Fury looks great. However, the figure could've been afforded more paint instead of relying mostly on the gun metal grey. At least the paint application doesn't hide the details that are on the figure. With that aside, thanks always Spot!
Love this figure, though I'm still totally disappointed that DST decided to renege on giving Obsidian Fury alternate forearm parts like they did with Gypsy Avenger, alt hands just doesn't work enough for me, though glad I watched your video, didn't know the head, shoulder pads, and ankles had so much more range of movement, I must need to maybe heat those parts on mine to get them to move more freely
I have all three versions of Bracer Phoenix (Robot Damashii, Diamond Selects, High Grade) and I gotta say, the Diamond Select is easily the worst of the bunch.
Jeez, bandai at least bothered to make sure the teeth face the same direction. On that note, I prefer all the jaegers from Bandai, detailing might be less, but the figures have great posability, and their size make it easier for stopmotion. Dimond Select I feel gives too much detail at times, and with Bandai's HG kits, where you can add the detailing that you want (and actually remove Obsidian's chainsaws XD), you get more bang for your buck. But that's just my opinion.
the smaller and larger scalling in action figure form is what kept me far away from this line, idc if its their size in the movies, the toys are what sell tho im not mix matching like they are transformers.

May slightly retouch this fellah with gundam markers or paint. But he's clearly cool. A shame it has no other weaponsystems to reveal. (rockets etc)
They should paint glow orange color on the Plasma Chainsaw

There should have included alternate arms without blades, one with the arm cannon, and the shoulder missiles as accessories.
I prefer the Tamashi ones. My Diamond Select one kept flopping around.
