There are no ammunition to produce in hoi IV so in my headcanon you're not buying just the guns but a sizeable quantity of ammunition to use them as well ("Infantry equipment")
Its why a lot of nations had tool shops who's only job was to re-bore weapons to a standard calibre. Which isn't always possible. Also the reason why the Cold War had so much standardisation - though even then there's so many different weapons that the internal components are a logistical headache even if you don't need to worry about the ammo.
@@valeriolibratti9643 the problem isn't buying or producing the different ammo... the logistical nightmare happens when you want to dispach them properly and always make sure that the right quantity gets to the right place at the right time (without taking into account logistical shenanigans caused by X Y or Z and corruption in the army declaring the wrong things) Ask to the germans and THE BRITS how fun it was (especially the brits since their logi were ASS)
Maintenance companies are always good for infantry on frontline as well for offensive units. MC is for winning and as minor nations you should always add medics to all your squads and AA Company. And also Maintenance Company can capture enemy close air supports.. Destroyed by AA company 😂
The only problem in terms of usefulness with the market is that it's impossible to get sufficient quantities of equipment that is not guns. Try to get enough tanks or planes to be useful? good fking luck.
In reality, when you buy different kind of equipments, your army needs extra training for each type of equipment. I hope Paradox in a future patch gives some penalties in army combat efficiency to disincentivise the players to purchase too many different kind of equipment. Lets' say you can buy only 3 kind of equipment without penalties. The second thing I noticed is that there is no real difference in price between civilian factories rich nations and poor nations. I hope they will implement this concept as well.
I'm not sure how you could implement a debuff like this in a good way, because the debuff should only really be effective when there are more than 3 different kinds per division and you would need full control over which equipment which division uses, which just sounds like an awful bit of Micromanagement
@@hanneswiggenhorn2023Easier than you think. There is already low standart high priority that gives divs best to worst weapons. You only need to divide what is gonna count as a diffrent one and optiminimise for weapon types.

Imagine the logistical nightmare of procuring ammunition for all those different guns your army is using.

The actual nightmare is training ur soldiers how to use those guns and what ranges etc . Not all guns the same

Having to train everybody to use every gun in the world must suck
The logistics to supply all of these weapons would cause the armies quartermaster to stroke out I swear
In this situation wouldn't Maintenance Companies be really good, to reduce the equipment you need to get?

@@adammezoe3575 wait... they can cap CAS? thats a thing??

If you shift click the plus button it will give you all of it rather than press the 1 and 0 key for ages
It does. This was recorded before that button existed
"Lets play a game where we supply our army through capitalism!"
*Immediately goes communist*
I loved this idea! When you get your head thinking about unique ways to play a game, I love it
Couldn’t have timed this better Dave, just pulled over for my HGV driving break lovely jubbly 👏
6:21 Can we get much higher
Soo hiigh
10:19 Delivery of the M1 Thompsons: Expected to finish 17 July 1961. 😮
Current date: 16 January 1943.
Total cost: 33650 Civ. Factories.🤯😵
2 greek divisions go round the outside, round the outside....
also whats with that portrait at 8:12
Now you need to do a no civs challenge. Fascist India, no civs, and win the nuclear arms race.
Why not :)
Why no maintenance comp for stealing equipment?
I've been looking forward for this since they annouced International Market
The only problem in terms of usefulness with the market is that it's impossible to get sufficient quantities of equipment that is not guns.

It's the 'au revoir' episode... Buy Buy!
8:36 continuation war was called ”Summer War” in the beginning.
So now you can do 0 civs since you can sell equipment for your civs
God I can just imagine a HOI4 multiplayer where one nation just builds a massive industry and sells guns to everyone who's actually fighting the war
Finally! A build for the extreme civ greeders like myself
It is genuinely why OWB mod limited the gun runners so much lol.
Doesn't shift and clicking the plus max the buy?
I wish :(

You named 4:00 "Second Balkan War", but it happened in 1913.
Yours was probably the 3rd.
Communists that relay on the free capitalist market lel
Communism is when you can't import from other nations
Communism is when you close the border and trade with nobody
Its rare that you see a zero at the start of a title

can you do a run without any dlc?

Now you just need to repeat it as a democratic Denmark and gather the north that way. Or is it too difficult?
Thanks for the video.
