The metal core of the old wheel on mine seems to have seized up to the shaft. Will hitting it with some rust remover or similar free that up? Wheels definitely need replaced. Plastic teeth are pretty mucch worn smooth. Any tips or tricks for getting that old piece off would be appreciated. Definitely going to lube the new ones when I get to that stage.
@@corwinsshadow Yes that might work. You could also try using a puller or hitting wheel using a block of wood and hitting the wood with a hammer on the back side.
Show how you ordered the wheel, the part number, and what they cost. Some have the same mower out here. One guy said he paid $11, but gave no particulars for us.

The teeth on my Craftsman self propelled front left tire are being chewed up regularly. I’ve gone thru 2 tires in as many weeks. Any thoughts?
Good job

I used the model number on the mower and ordered from Amazon.
Surprisingly the other drive wheel's teeth were in great shape. But since the tread was bad I replaced it.
Probably a bad gear bearing on that side.
Surprised the other was ok.
