I prefer to journal whilst traveling so the memories are still fresh, but it has the drawback of I need to bring journaling supplies with me so there are pros and cons to both approaches

That's such a great point about the pros and cons of journaling during versus after a trip. I can definitely see the appeal of capturing those fresh memories and impressions as they're happening. It must make the journaling process feel more immediate and vivid.
At the same time, I've experienced the challenge of having to carefully curate which supplies to bring along to avoid overpacking. But having those tools on hand allows you to seize those spur-of-the-moment creative bursts inspired by your surroundings.
It's so interesting to hear different perspectives! For me, I've found that a balance of taking down notes and journal writing during the trip, followed by preparing a scrapbook travel journal with photos and ephemera at home, works well.

I do a combination of both. I take a Field Notes notebook and write down as things are happening. I also collect ephemera in the Travelers Company A5 slim paper pocket notebooks and make notes on sticky notes about what is in each pocket. I then journal when I get back using the notes and ephemera and also printing pictures using my HP Sprocket.

I love that your approach combines the best of both worlds - capturing in-the-moment details and being able to really savor the full journaling experience back in your creative space. Thank you for sharing!

Great video! Such beautiful buildings you visited in Morocco.
In 1983 I worked as an au-pair in Paris for a 5-year old boy. His father, Lars, was the ex-husband of Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman, who starred in the film 'Casablanca'. She passed away in 1982.

Loved your journal. I take copious notes while on my trips, then journal with pictures, stamps, ephemera, etc. at home since I don't want to carry my supplies. I travel carryon, and don't have the space. Where did you purchase the stamp tin with the international postage envelope? Very cute.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my Morocco travel journal process. I can totally relate to journaling at home after your trips. It allows you to really immerse yourself in the memories and take your time with the creative process. The stamps set is a Cavallini & Co Par Avion Rubber Stamps Set. I bought mine from Amazon but it's currently out of stock. I found a link on Ebay here: www.ebay.ph/itm/276486676089?itmmeta=01HZB9BQEGV7KY82QT93KXCB82&hash=item405fe3de79:g:q3YAAOSwxWlmRPke
