- In the latest episode of Newshour Debate, Navika Kumar discusses controversy over caste census in parliament. Bhartiya Janata Party leader Anurag Thakur took a veilded jibe at the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi over the issue of caste census during the Monsoon session of the Parliament on Tuesday. Chaos ensued in the House as he said that those whose caste is unknown talk about the caste census, following which the Congress MP accused Thakur of "insulting and abusing" him. It is most unfortunate that even after 75 yrs of independence, educated people also are giving importance to topics like Caste, not realising that it is spoiling the future and also image of India.
The only way to unite indians is to do away with caste-reservation. Only the socioeconomic criteria should be the basis of a timely limited reservation. Congress hopes to come to power through this divisive politics.

He goes around asking people their caste, but feel insulted if someone ask him his caste. In India it’s ok to insult Indian but is not ok to ask Fake Gandhis thei caste.
I prepared for govt exams and I had to score 140 marks and an SC /ST can score 70 and OBC can score 100 marks for the same job....I felt pain when i had to sleep only for 5 hrs or 4 hrs only many days to score the extra marks....how many more decades do we have to work like this to reach them ?????

Listen to this navika ji.. You asked a very good question to Mr Verma.. Just so you know the post graduate course in medicine are also under reservation, so much so that even the top general merit students(I'm saying top 3 rankers) are finding it difficult to get into institutes of choice because said colleges have 1 seat or so each and they are already reserved.. This happens in central institutes like AIIMS.. Does that mean, even getting an mbbs rank is insufficient to raise a person up from a deemed to be backward caste?
Govt should pass a bill or mention the caste and reservations for the doctor on their board

We are living in country in which Muslim Christian dynast blood asking caste of Hindus. As an Indian l first need to know Rahul Gandhis father is Shia , Sunni, Pashtun or some other Muslim, his mother a catholic, Protestant or angelic Christian. In fact pil should be submitted to know his caste and who has granted him rights to question anybody’s caste

How do you do senses without asking caste of a person being interviewed ? Senses means to ask everyone in Bharat as to which caste he or she belongs to. How many temples allow free entry to Dalits and Adivasis? In mosques and churches, a king and sweeper pray together, but even same-level people are not allowed in temples. In mosques, you will see the people coming from lower strata are often Imam and lead the prayers. How many temples have a Dalit or Adivasi as head priest in India?
