I agree, I also ache fora comeback. For anyone that hasn't purchased a collection, this is the time...publishers need to know that is a market to support he production of new material. Chadwick las time he updated his media mentioned he has been working on a new story, but has been silent for a while.
The skipper is a stand-in for Jack Vance, one of whose novels is Emphyrio. Vance's books show up on a bookshelf in one of the World Below comics, too. Chadwick did the cover for the DAW edition of Dust of Far Suns, maybe others.
Thanks for doing another video on Concrete. It has long been one of my favorite comic series and I am astonished how seldom I hear it brought up in modern comic discussion, though something tells me this video will change that. Next make that Concrete read through that was teased as a possibility in that Brian K Vaughan shoot interview happen!
Thanks for another great look at Concrete! Chadwick's work is excellent! I had owned some of the compilations, but I had to get his first appearance in Dark Horse Presents 1, and Concrete 1 for my collection.
I have the entire collection of Concrete. It was one of those Dark Horse Comics from the 80's that was incredibly inspirational. "I can do this?! I can!"
As a kid I had ZERO interest in Concrete. I only started reading Chadwick's stuff a couple years ago and I gotta say that I'm glad I waited. It hits a lot different as an adult than it would have when I was 11 or 12. Great comics
Bullseye 🎯! Thanks,Warren! I picked up Concrete out of pure curiosity! Chadwick is very creative in his page design and writing! Dazzler 38-41, with writing by Archie Goodwin,Chadwick and Jackson (Butch) Guise! 👋
LOVE Concrete! Let's rally behind a comeback
Part of the charm of Concrete, is that so few issues were conceived, sometimes less is more...

31:19 Yes it is. Bissette's Godzilla, which was in black and white, later colored and possibly tied into an ongoing series.
You guys are going to make me go broke!
I just recently got all the issues of Killer Smile. The art and story are so good.
This is such a great issue, I'm going to have to dig out my trades and revisit.
