Crazy Sturgeon Battle in the Pitt

We went up to Pitt River Lodge to try and target Bull Trout on spinning gear
Pitt River Lodge is an incredible fishing lodge run by Danny, a good friend and it's a place I've been fishing for over 20 years. There is incredible opportunity for salmon, bull trout and more in this river and even though it is so close to Vancouver when you're up there you would think you're in the middle of nowhere
I've had incredible luck at this lodge in the past but this trip we got put through the wringer. Our guide Brody Mansell lead us to some awesome fishing holes and shared a lot of knowledge and passion for this river and we were having a great trip and then the skies just opened up on us and would not stop. Our camera ended up getting filled with water and completely stopped working during the shoot. We decided to head back to the lodge and try and dry the camera out inside the lodge
To make the most of a bad situation we decided to go sturgeon fishing on Pitt Lake with Danny and Brody. Little did we know that an absolute monster of a sturgeon would bite the line and some outrageous shenanigans would be unleashed on us all.
This might be a little rough to watch since it was shot with a small handheld camera but this was just too epic of a fish and I wanted to share it.
