What colors do you put for a blue tri if it doesn’t say his colors please help
How would i go about registering my merle puppies if the color merle is not an option i seen some people say you send pictures but if anyone has experience in this let me know how you do it thank you.
You would type in your pup's coloring "Blue Tan Merle" for example, however AKC does not recognize Merle coloring for competition purposes. I believe his coloring would be an automatic disqualifier based on the AKC guidelines.
Yea especially they don’t recognize merles fluffy lilacs tri points champagne or really any other color variant that people actually want today , yay akc

I think you're confused with show disqualification. You can register any dog who's parents were pedigree verified because their parents were and their parents parents were pedigree so there's no way for anything to come in between. Just because it's born with an extra leg or 3 eyes doesn't mean it can't be registered as long as the parents were registered. In an AKC show it will be disqualified from winning or competing

@@struggleisreal1592 ive heard even if you don't see the options for your exact color that there's a way around it and it involves including photos of the dog in your registration... I may be wrong about what exactly is done but there something you're required to do when color isn't there. There are likely people who choose any of the color options even if it isn't correct and I honestly don't think anything can happen. All akc cares about is that the parents were registered and that automatically grants you permission unless the breeder has a contract against what you can do that you've signed with the breeder. It's best to find more videos that explain what to do when the color option isn't there, I've seen a few of them come up.

When you buy it from the breeder or someone transferring a dog they don't want anymore, that's when you should receive the papers.. if not provided don't ever buy the pet because then you're left with a pet who will never be allowed to register. I think there is a program now that requires photos and dna tests.

Merle French bulldogs do not meet standard. Merle is NOT a naturally occurring French bulldog color. Something most definitely was mixed into frenchies to bring that color in. Embark or wisdom panel are not a valid proof of pure bred animal. It only tests back 4-5 generations. I can test a labradoodle that’s been backbred a certain number of times and get a result of purebred poodle if we go down enough generations of back breeding ti poodles . Also breeding French bulldog Boston terrier mutts is unethical. BACKYARD BREEDER RIGHT HERE. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY MORE FOR A MERLE (MUTT)
You cannot even register a merle French bulldog as merle because even AKC does not recognize merle. DO BETTER YOU BACKYARD BREEDER. If you’re breeding a brachycephalic breed, why not breed to better the breed rather than for the money

IT HAS AN ONLINE PIN NUMBER. BREEDER COULD REGISTER YOUR DOG ONLINE IN THEIR NAME AND GIVE YOU UNSIGNED AKC REGISTRATION PAPERS.
And a limited registration makes your pup not elgible for comformation in dog shows. Some breeders charge for breeding rights which I think is a practice for a puppy is stupid. For an adult dog that breeder has put out money for test for health, etc. Is logical to recover their costs.

@@benbrown9053 no you cannot register a dog with AKC unless you have proper documentation. Either both parents must be AKC and the breeder registers the litter, or the dog is registered from an approved foreign reguatry

I always thought dogs like yours or merels cannot be akc registered. “The breed standard for the French Bulldog has included the same color requirements since the 1911 standard was approved by the AKC. It lists is acceptable colors all brindle, fawn, white, brindle and white, and any other color except those which constitute disqualification. The following colors are listed as disqualifications: solid black, mouse, liver, black and tan, black and white, and white with black.”

This is an unethical breeder as well. No ethical breeder will breed off standard colors, they aren’t even purebred dogs.
I've done a lot of research on registering Frenchies and Bullies and a merle French bulldog cannot be AKC registered. It says it right on their website. People lie about the color on their application. Also a merle Frenchie is NOT purebred.
French bulldogs are not pure anyhow they are literally a mix lol Soon you will see more colors added to AKC as time goes on.

@Jules Jam I've done a lot of research on this.
Any non-standard color French bulldog cannot compete in the CONFORMATION AKC competition.
You can still have a dog with a non-standard coat that's AKC certified bc any offspring of the hybrid/mixed blood used to introduce the non-standard color has been breed back up to something over like 87% "blood purity," meaning they're considered pureblood again and are AKC Registerable. You can compete with the dog in agility, speed, etc., but any weird colors/eye colors/weird body shapes will be disqualified from competing in the Conformation Ring which is all about the LOOK of the dog.
If the dog Isn't allowed in the confirmation ring then, that must mean, The dog Isn't truly AKC registered. And they still consider that Crossbred dog a mutt Rite? And to be honest, The paperwork you have is Hung paperwork Rite?... Is the dog that turned your dog Merle, on your paperwork?.. If so, What breed was the other dog?

No. Both parents have to be fully registered and the breeder registers the litter to get papers on a puppy

People really butt hurt about the coat 😂 every dog in existence has been bred to a standard. It walks like a French, barks like a french, shape and health like a french to most its gonna be a french sorry to the UA-cam Westminster club!
