Thanks for Drive Thru History, Dave ! It's better than sitting in a classroom, because you take us to actual locations and throw in a touch of humor.

I thought this was going to be about the Sabbath, as it has been set aside for our Heavenly Father!
But great one, Dave. Very interesting!

Fascinating, I have heard of the Monongah mining disaster but didn't know about its connection to Father's Day.

These man-made holidays should be celebrated on another day of the week. The LORD's Day is reserved for Him alone. He will not share His glory with another.

From the wiki you quoted - “In the United States, whether to celebrate this day nationwide or not is a matter for debate. In 1908, Grace Golden Clayton proposed the day to honor those men who had died in a mining accident in the US. Though it was not accepted then, in 1909 Sonora Smart Dodd, who along with her five brothers was raised by her father alone, after attending Mother's Day in a church, convinced the Spokane Ministerial Association to celebrate Father's Day nationwide.[7]”.
This matches what the video describes. Perhaps the title should be the First Father’s Day IN THE UNITED STATES.
