I own a 2013 Mk2 pre facelift Superb and have had it for coming up on 14 months and its by far the best car I've ever owned and its to my mind a better far than the Mk3 is as theres much more room in the back seat, soace lost to give a bigger boot, and the Mk3 lost the twin opening hatch ..... Yes the Mk3 comes with a netter infotainment system and more so on the later cars but like all newer cars theyre picking up to many gizmos to break or go wrong as the cars gets older and cost a fortune to fix... I test drove and looked at the Mk3 and Mk2 when looking at cars last year to replace my old 2007 Octavia and the Mk2 to me was the better car to drive and live in.... And less to go wrong with it, the Mk3 either had non working electric tailgates or reversing vameras or the front radar sensors for the adaptive cruise control weren't working correctly according to the information on screen
