I must please request a video tour of how you organise your van/tools mplumber. I work for Gas Networks Ireland as an emergency first response fitter for nearly 10 years but trained initially as a plumber, I’ve worked abroad in Australia as a gas fitter and worked as a fitter on an offshore gas platform In Middle East so I’ve gained lots of experience in international practices I recommend all apprentices I mentor to watch your videos as a requirement because your fundamental hand skills are next level and they learn far more than what they learn in college, Keep up the great work
Definitely my now favourite plumbing channel. A plumber years ago told me not that silicone shouldnt be used when installing syphons and fill valves.. however most plumbers use silicone .. i used silicone as well.. i am however a DIYer and not a plumber like you. There must be a reason to why there is this change of technique.
Mate, I need you advice, i need to change tap cartridge and im not sure which one to get.. Bristan 08SN40L0001.04 Lever Cartridge or Bristan 08SN40S0001.04 Lever Cartridge. originally in my tap installed Bristan 08SN40L0001.04 Lever Cartridge, but i was wondering if i could use Bristan 08SN40S0001.04 Lever Cartridge cause its cheaper. Any difference?
@@williamrogers2030definitely it is mate- Plumber from down under here, if you have the tools & skills (and the physical space and layout permit it) bending is ALWAYS preferable- improved flow path as it is a longer radius and less joints… I am suspecting that it is done in some areas of the US more frequently than others
@mmplumber I know where you are, but I found it, I had to order it off of the UK Amazon, so I bought 15 of them, bringing UK to The States. I'm a Plumber that Believe in Diversity, I have some High in Clients that's going to Love that Style and Look...
@@tomalley798 The tape is not to regs, but it's such a pain to put a sleeve in as it can get close to the screw holes and then the hole can collapse if you aren't careful. I use overflow pipe as a sleeve but hate doing it. Really we need a 16mm id sleeve but I'm not sure where to get them.
Absolutely my first call for plumbing to go to channel , perfect 👌 always ❤
Glad you enjoy the videos mate 👊👊🥰

I’m using the rubber on inside but I like to fill the gap with silicone, gives more strength when your servicing from the top in future 👊👊
When I am working as a plumber I enjoy my work my dear friend it is my best profession.😉
I love my job too!
What’s the point of the brass sleeve at 2:33?
FLIES CLOSED!!!!! PLEASE! 😂
Haha sorry bro!
You have a tool for everything, I know that took years to develop what works best for you
Yeah I’ve spent many years perfecting my tool choice setup
I always admire the tools used in this channel!!
Why not use a tap connector for the fill valve ?
Fibre washers are not my favourite, I’ll use if I have to

To be honest mate I’ve not changed a lot of them, just looking them up and there cheap so I would buy both and learn from it 🤣
Or ask at the suppliers, they can check the part numbers and tell you what’s needed
@@Bobby-xr4bo I've just ordered 2 of them. Unfortunately, badtards delivery fees cost me £5
@@nosycatUK material costs have sky-rocketed unfortunately
Do you sell those "Plumber" shirts?
Not yet maybe one day
What kind of copper pipe are you using. I have never seen copper pipe bent like you do.
15mm standard copper pipe budy, just you never seen this kind of skills and benders too maybe
@ that is true. Can the 1/2 or 3/4 inch pipe I get at Home Depot be bent like that? Is it legal in the states? I’ve been using pex.

What's the name brand of the brass hose bibb, I can't find it in the States, let me know, Thanks...
That’s cause I’m in the uk buddy

If that’s hard setting thread seal poor guy next time to change ball valve why not tap connector?
It all comes out mate
Completely agree, no engineering thought involved here.
The whole reason for a fibre washer is its connection to a serviceable item.
@ if its loctite or type then no
Flying a bit low there bud
Sorry bro thought I would do what women do to us 🤣
I’m guessing $2500 for them jobs.
Yeah I’m retired now 🤣
@ oh. I thought you still on the tools. You must be raking it. Good work lad👍
Wrapping electrical tape and silicone around the pipe going through a load bearing wall is not a sleeve it’s a bodge
Interesting, how would you do it?

Don’t see any real plumbing here compression fittings and squirt guns , where’s some real solder joints etc diy hodge bodge
Silicone is a no no for me sorry
You allergic to it?
No I just don't use it where there's a washer
Washers inside and just filling a gap from under
