      Awww I came here hoping this was an option. I'm shocked that such a basic feature had not been implemented at this point.

      @@Xero_WolfYea, afaik you would have to use the data merge feature, but that is an annoying workaround :/

    is there a way to hyperlink a phone number in the PDF we're making in Affinity Publisher? (So that the phone number's hyperlink will maybe open up a FaceTime app or something on your Mac or PC (or just the phone app to make a regular call if you click on the link from a phone)? Obviously this hyperlink CANNOT be an https link...

    Version 2.3 has a bug although resources have been switched to embedded as per video and saved, when document is shared with or emailed to another publisher user it still comes up with missing resources error when document is opened?

    When i export to pdf . File size is biggg

      Hi Mohimohi, When exporting files in Affinity Publisher by default we try to maintain as much information as possible (hence the large file size).
      You can however reduce the file size when exporting by making some adjustments in the export panel. By either selecting a preset such as 'PDF - Digital Small' or under the advanced options, reducing the raster DPI, rasterising or downsampling images and using JPEG compression.
      Personally I like to keep my files as high quality as possible, so I use dropbox or iCloud to store and send my files, but I understand that has other financial implications, so downsizing may work better for you. Hope that helps.

      @@benjaminviney Will the Pdf size be smaller in you use linked?

    • @benjaminviney
      @benjaminviney 3 місяці тому

      Hi @@mannoplanet, Thank you for your question.
      If your resources are linked the initial Affinity Publisher file will be smaller than if you had used embedded resources. When it comes to exporting files as a PDF's it won't have much of an effect on the file size, as the resources will be embedded inside the PDF during the export process.
      To reduce the PDF size you can either reduce the quality, increase the downsampling or choose a smaller preset, for instance PDF (digital - small size).
      Hope that helps.
