I flew on a Corsair 747 from LAX to Papeete, Tahiti. It was a very nice 8 hour flight. Being a French airline, they served the most delicious meals I ever had on an airplane.....J'ai voller un Corsair 747 de LAX a PPT et c'est un excellent, gentil vollee pour 8 heures. Merci beaucoup. It is nice that you review less reviewed airlines. I was impressed by the meal served in Economy class; it looked good and was large enough. Well done, Felix!
I'm loving the improvements. Thanks so much for uploading about corsair. I thought it was a pc brand but when I saw this, I completely changed my mind. Thanks yet again for uploading another spectacular video!
I've flown the 747-400 with Air France a few times, especially on the CDG-GIG route. I even flew on the upper deck once (sort of an economy plus - avant la lèttre). Too bad you don't see the queen in France that often anymore.
Another great video of the beautiful 747 Queen of the Skies. The last time I flew on one was a 747-400 last year on Rossiya Airlines from Saint Petersburg to Simferopol Crimea.
Would this technically be a domestic flight since it seems like you didn't go through immigration, Martinique is a part of France & the EU, and the Martinican vehicle number plates are identical to the French ones?
"It seems that the flight map is not yet available" 😀 Very enjoyable review again and a surprisingly good standard of service by Corsair. The food looked very tasty and way better than on many legacy carriers in Economy.
Very nice trip report Felix! I love all your videos. However I would like to ask what is your secret for getting a good sleep during long haul flights? I never seem to be able to sleep more than an hour :(

It's ironic that this review came up on my feed the week that news leaked about Boeing finally pulling the plug on the 747 program. Is there anything else quite like the roar of four large engines on a 747 or A380 on takeoff? In normal times I believe there is still a market for large aircraft, but given the economic environment since the COVID-19 pandemic, it's clear that jumbo aircraft don't fit the picture now or for a long time, what with even small aircraft being parked for short-term storage until demand heats up again.
I wouldn't really classify them as a holiday airline, they can get really pricey, they well known to be a good alternative to Air France in West Africa, but the prices are crazy!
@@ikaeku9221 Technically it is a domestic flight but normally in Orly airport they call domestic flight for France mainland including Corsica...To Fort-de-France is DOM-TOM flight(for some people they need visa)

No big deal. I flew a Royal Air Maroc Boeing 747-400 on a domestic Marrakech - Casablanca flight back in the 90's.
I just do not understand how anyone can give any of these Simply Aviation videos a thumbs down! They are all very enjoyable!
They misclick the like and dislike buttons. Happens more then you think

Yes, the A380 is Impressive but nothing beats the Legacy of the 747 :)
I wouldn't fly any Boieng much less a 747. They are built by lazy Americans with the same mentality that affects their planes today.

I love A380, but 747 is great. But some of 747-8 now become freighter, and as i know only Lufthansa operate 747-8 for passengers

The 747 is the true queen of the skies.I like the beauty of this gigantic metal bird
Too bad it is Corsair's last one. If only they could replace it with a… 747-8 in the next 5 years or so.
This Queen just retired one week ago, one year before it was planned due to COVID19.
Very nice to see this legend with your point of view 🙏

P La I never flew the 747 really sad that they’re retiring😭😭😭
It was a bloody long time ago (Pan Am went belly up in '92). I flew a 747-400 like this one from KLM in 2013 on my return trip.
Long live the queen
Thank you Simply Aviation ✌for sharing this vid. I miss Corsair 💕💗
I am so thanked with David and Felix for doing this type of videos, thanks to it you inspired me to do my own channel, thanks and such a nice video!

Great trip report ! I do some plane spotting at Paris-Orly Airport and I can see this 747 :D
The aircraft definitely is one of the older 747s.
