I have 4 of the small rodent traps and one of the traps in the larger size. I is so much easier to set than the ones like you have. No pliers needed. And worth the extra cost.
Turn the trap to the left so that the dog (trigger bar) flies up further away from the face of the rat. The trigger bar flying up can possibly shoo the rat back so that he gets out in time.
There are similar traps for sale on TEMU and other online sites... got two. They are strong enough to break your finger... no need for that danger level in a rat trap.

So I bought this yesterday and the mouse has eaten the bait do i need to put it in a box
