as someone who’s in college, i want you to know that your HS routine doesn’t have to be perfect. routine changes as our lives change, so it’s okay if you find certain habits as you grow older no longer fit perfectly into your life anymore. things happen- we get sick, we have a rough midterms week, a family emergency comes up. it’s okay to not improve 1% every single day.
i just wanna see you be happy and grow into the person you wanna be, but not burn yourself out so young. proud of you for striving to make positive changes in your life, but be mindful of perfectionism seeping in💜

I’ve been watching u for over a yr now and I feel like you’re too fixated on having a ‘perfect routine’ that it’s stressful when for u when u fall off track. You don’t need to have a perfect routine. Be easier on yourself and do what makes you happy not what you think is supposed to❤️

remember harmony over balance. it is great to be consistent but don't feel bad if by taking an opportunity it messes up ur schedule a bit. just make sure everything harmonizes. by harmonizes I mean you are happy and doing what you need to do. and it is okay to have some mess in your life. thats fun and a a part of life. love this series just wanted to remind you guys out there you don't need to have everything perfectly balanced. ily

hey I think this series is so cool and is super inspiring! 2 things coming from someone almost graduating college: I'm also a person who loves to constantly self-improve but improvement isn't linear and there are times when we sometimes move backwards. My therapist phrased it as "training our brain" and the more we do something the more consistent we will be, but there will be days where it's harder than others and that's just part of the process!
also, while I agree it's not selfish to take time for yourself and not always be available to respond to texts 24/7, it can be hurtful when I am excited to text a friend something and hours and hours, even days, go by without hearing back. Yes everyone has their own lives going on but friendship is also valuable in our journey to self-discovery and we shouldn't take them for granted. I feel like it would be useful to dedicate a few times per day to just check up on our friends. Even just saying "Hey just so you know I'm disconnecting for awhile, if you don't hear back from me that's why".

    • @xxursolovelyxxX

i completely agree with you and thats actually a really smart idea. if you just leave someone hanging it can give them the wrong idea, and when you finally show up without any explanation as to why you took so long it can be very hurtful. setting a time to communicate with people you love sounds genius bc they are supposed to be priorities anyway!

Seperate your day into quarters. In a game, just because you underperform in one quarter doesn't mean you underperform the other 3. You still have a game to win.
    for example:
    mornings (5am-9am)
    late morning (10am-12pm)
    afternoon/evening(1pm-7pm)
    night(8pm +++)

I don’t typically write comments on videos, but for this one one I couldn’t not write a comment. I relate to this video so much to the point where it also freaks me a out a bit. Nonetheless, I am also a sophomore dealing with almost the similar kind of things in my life too. This video was have been an extremely helpful and opening to me. - I try to be a better person then I was yesterday everyday and attempt to progress in character development in various parts of my life as well. It’s been a roller coaster and a shaky one at that, but I’m taking it slow and this video has truly bumped my steps, so I am truly excited for more of this series and excited to see how I grow in my daily life 😌.

I always feel the pressure to get the best grades, but I burned out when I did. Now I score ´less high´ on tests but I improved my character a lot. I definitely have more of a personality when I stopped stressing about perfection. Soo my point is: better to take it day by day and do what works for you than strive to be better every day :) (this is obviously an opinion so don't be mad if you disagree)

We are all human and feel things we don’t want to feel, have our voice in our head say things we don’t want to hear, but Annie had such a powerful gentleness in the way she speaks that eases what I’m going through and allows me to accept a new, positive perspective. I feel like you snoozing the alarm so often is literally your body telling you that it
    1. needs a little more sleep
    or
    2. it’s set in the middle of a sleep cycle and that makes it hard for you to wake up
Don’t be hard on yourself but instead either try going to bed even earlier or calculate your sleep cycles, sometimes 15 minutes can make all the difference.

I am very admired with the determination you put in sticking to the habits you’ve set, because I think that self improvement is also about getting to know yourself , which is probably the most fascinating and important journey ever. However I also think that you should avoid strictly programming every single aspect of your life, especially when it comes to personal relationships (with both friends and boyfriends) because I think that requires more spontaneity. I think you could treat those kind of human relationships in a more natural and less set way. Also I give you advice from my personal experience; I used to try and control every single aspect of my life, altering and manipulating it to try and make the most perfect possible, to try and turn it the way I though was the most noble , effective and useful; the truth is, though, not everything in life necessarily has to be meaningful or useful; sometimes you just have to relax, enjoy boredom and rest and let things come to you more naturally. If you try to programme it all, in the end you’re going to lose your ability to just act genuinely

trust me bro, your life is FARR from over. I'm assuming you're still in your teens and bro, you got your whole life ahead of you. Some people don't start living the life they want until they're like 50, and that isn't a bad thing! I've heard stories from many adults about how they took so many different paths in life and how they're still doing good. As long as you try your best and make the most out of every opportunity that comes your way, you'll be alright.
