The principles are good but what practice has been propagated over the years? A honest conversation about our past will place us in better positions to assert our efforts towards peace and sustained development. Did the war to oust Obote and then the Military Juntas not based on secterian sentiments? This does not mean we endorse condemnation of the proponents of these struggles, but what have we learnt over the years? What does the agitative and disruptive approach of the opposition tell us about our political maturity. As we may suggest, the problem is not leaders like President Museveni but rather arriving at a consensus to actively and equitably build this nation. Political patronage, prejudice and resentment not withstanding.

Then the training you give them is inadequate. Army training, however tough or stubborn you're or you may be at the end of the 6months you're what they expect you to be. All the civilian mentality will be out of you. They torture, probably they torture them during training. Uganda military men or women , Gen or recruit. They know how to kick well wello! They probably learn how to kick and flog anyone at their basic military training college

The apparent weakness in mordern opposition idealogy is to equate life time of a state to that of human being. Thirty six years is a long period in human life but not in state life. How many years has the usa been in existance for instance? One may ask another...who said that you should see a cha ge of presidents before you die? W

I agree that not even a single person is there without mistakes. But the reality should be accepted. President Museveni has demonstrated his ideology for the better of Uganda and peace in the region at large. He has served the country. I hope any one coming should take on and modify if needed as long as peace is in precedence.

Talk of the peaceful transfer of power in Uganda, prior to the coming of President Museveni into power in Jan 1986, Uganda had faced numerous political upheavals, so Mr. Museveni inherited a failed state for instance, putting the country back to a democracy has been and is still an uphill task, it requires Mr. Museveni to be a round MORE in order to right the wrongs caused by past leaders. Even if it takes him 150 years to lead us, let him do so.He is the man Ugandans need.

Democracy?? In Uganda? Do you know that it's the common people who votes? They are stilling the votes.
    Is that man paid??
It's because that is what M7 does to pay people like him to defend him
People stopped long time ago to vote for him.
Some likes him to stay in power, become they have stolen so much with his small group
