Finally at 40:08 the U.S. ambassador gets to the point -- China wants to become and overtake the U.S. as the dominant country globally. The U.S. doesn't want that to happen.
But, interesting posturing, first pointing out that that China's economy is strong, then stating that China believes their system is better, and finally calling this a battle of ideas between communism and democracy....
Of course, the audience will support democracy, because they live in one and are trained to fear communism....
Reality is that this is really a battle for future economic and military dominance. New technologies will lead to an economic windfall and also new military technology.
So, the U.S. must show China in a bad light to justify U.S. policies and actions.
Not saying that China is perfect, but even if China were an angle, the U.S. would make sure to dominate her.

Leveling 2/3 of the infrastructure looks more like making the land inhabitable to the Palestinians who are poor, in large part because they don’t have enough control of their own destiny (work, education, travel, infrastructure, import/export), even leaving is controlled.
This war/destruction looks like the stage before an outright land grab.

I’ve watched countless interviews from Gazans that hate Hamas. Business owners are scrutinized and told what they can and can’t put in their front windows. They are made to give much of their profits to Hamas. People said they were more prosperous and had a better life when Israelis lived in Gaza. Back then, Gazans would go to Israel to work and people from both areas were friends and would celebrate each other’s homes for meals and certain holidays. Once Hamas won, Israel forced Israelis out, bulldozed their houses and all IdF was finished maintaining a civilized Dana. So many Gazans said when Israel dropped pamphlets, texted and called to tell them to leave an area they’d be going into, but Hamas would shoot them if they tried to leave.yes, IDF found the biggest tunnel under UNWRA with Hamas’ largest computer hard drives and elaborate electrical hooked into UNWRA. They then found all sorts of weapons and ammo in UNWRAS’s offices. So UNWRA knew Hamas was working among them. The tunnel also went across to the UNWRA school where Hamas taught how to hate and fight to very young children…like 5-6 yo and up. They had Summer Mikitary camps for these little ones, giving them assault rifles. Hamas has used ambulances as witness by Gazans, just as they hid in schools, hospitals and residential buildings. Hamas has to be eliminated, then Hezbollah to the North, before Israel will ever feel safe in their own country. I feel bad for the women and children, but where are all the Arab countries offering to take these refugees? I’ve heard no one wants them, because they’re known to cause problems and don’t want Hamas sneaking in with the citizens. 🙏🏼🇮🇱🙏🏼 innocent civilians and 🙏🏼 for all the hostages safe return and the bodies killed by Hamas.

As a student studying public health and soon to graduate with my MPH, and this crisis has been occurring as I'm taking my humanitarian aid courses. The blatant disregard for humanitarian aid work by both fighting parties is horrific.
No comparison between the two. Israel is fighting according to LOAC. Palestinian Hamas is pure terrorist.
Only one of the two parties is responsible for the barbarity of this conflict. One of the few hopeful signs so far has been that the other party has the wisdom to know when to break the rules. War, especially unrestricted war, has exceedingly few attributes to recommend itself: it ends.
@@lasagnajohn Hamas using civilians as shields in a conflict, and it's willingness to perform as an arm of another nation's priorities (Iran), are both problems. As is Israel's disproportionate response in essentially leveling Gaza (regardless of innocent civilian toll), performing a simultaneous landgrab, and most recently using humanitarian aid as bait to attack civilians, are ALSO problems. To not see both of these sides as being problematic and turning the violence on the Palestinian people is just deliberate ignorance at this point.

An impossible situation for all parties involved, the Gazan & the Israeli citizens, killed initially by Hamas. The continuing over-reaction by the IDF and the initial Hamas attack to stop the Israeli-Saudi normalization talks, should both be condemned. Neutering the PLO in the West Bank, by Israel and the US's silence on it hasn't helped. And Egypt closing it's border to Gazan citizens attempting to flee the war is despicable, never mind not allowing humanitarian aid ... food, gas & medicine ... into Gaza.
War time was brought about by incapable and undiplomatic world leaders.

The Palestinians use the medical apparatus as a fighting force for years - they used an Ambulance to transport Sinwar from Shifa Hospital to Khan Younis. In Operation Defensive Shield in 2002 the Tanzim Fatah (another "peace loving" radical entity) used Red Crescent Ambulances to transport terrorists from one shooting position to another - The Palis have zero regard for international Law or human life in general - their Islamic faith embraces death and fanatical martydom.

30:16 OMG. That lockdown scene still gives me goosebumps. I'm Chinese, and I lived in Chongqing back in 2022. "Luckily," we only had nearly 2 months of complete lockdown by the end of 2022. I say "luckily" because people in some small villages were under lockdown for 9 months. Anyway, those 2 months were the most unforgettable, insufferable memories I've ever had.
We could only leave our building to pick up food and groceries. As you can imagine, everything was in short supply. You needed to check the app and click the "buy" button when food was available, constantly refresh, or join a group to buy food together. But that wasn't the worst part. Imagine not being able to go for a walk for months. I was literally on the brink of a mental breakdown because I was forced to stay at home for so long. And then imagine people in other cities or towns under even longer lockdowns.
The worst thing was watching UA-cam and seeing people die in deadly fires in Urumqi, which sparked the blank paper protest in China. That was so sad. I've always been critical of my government, but my hatred and anger peaked at that time. I had never been so angry and frustrated.

6:50 just saying the dr being asked if she saw hamas fighters hiding in the hospital and she says “I can only comment on what I know” and then switches it to the health crisis makes it seem like she was hiding something, because I feel like in that situation if the answer was no then you would want to be extremely clear about that, I’m not picking sides cause I honestly don’t know enough about it to determine weather she would be right or not for protecting hamas fighters like that.. I just don’t know why, as a health provider, that you would say that. Even if I knew they were hiding there I would have came up with something like “I didn’t ask who’s side they were on, I was just there to help.” Or something of the sort to not say yes and not say no, but also not insinuate that she knows more than she’s saying, cause I feel that puts a target on her back.. going into a war zone as someone who’s not a fighter and “picking a side” or helping one side over the other, is a very good way to end up dead.. I wouldn’t be surprised if she would be watched or even targeted if she went back just because of that.
