People don't put nearly enough emphasis on 3 and outs and getting 3rd down stops in general and way too much emphasis on turnovers. We have been great at creating turnovers and putting pressure on the QB but that is useless if you can't stop the other team when they don't turn it over and force them to punt. Teams drove up and down the field on us at will way more than they should have. I am looking forward to consistent fundamentally sound defensive football and vastly improving our ability to stop offenses and force them to punt. I remember Zimmer's defenses when he was the defensive coordinator in Dallas, he always got more out of less talent than most teams did with more talent and they were always fundamentally sound across the board on defense. Don't get me wrong I would love to see us force a lot of turnovers and put a lot of pressure on the QB, I just want to see equal emphasis on playing with discipline and being fundamentally sound.
Facts great show. In the playoffs you're playing against some of the best defenses in the league. The defense that does a better job holding on until these top offenses figure out these top defenses.

@@lodown3511 Noah wasn't a starter avg 17 yds a catch. So yes, Cooks separation was worst. I look for Tolbert to replace him. Cooks definitely not a #2 at this point in his career.
