You can also repurpose your old phones for webcam/cctv or as a modem for your PC
I don't think it is worth it. You can buy or get a laptop camera from an old broken laptop and solder a USB on it, it costs like 4 bucks

One of my old phones serves as a webcam, the other one is a GPS in my car. Oh and my newest old phone is my "going out at night phone".... I am taking this one whenever I am going to spend the night out and drink... if I lose it or if it gets stolen I will be bummed out a bit but it will be not a big deal since there is literally nothing on it with my account saved. Just taxi numbers, pizza numbers, my own number on my actual phone and a very short friends-list.
Explain how the old phone serves as GPS in the car? No traffic data, right? No route updates or accident info?
I ask this because I put a full computer in my car back in 2006, and I had a rechargeable Bluetooth GPS module I put in the back window. I connected my windows mobile phone to the computer via USB to tether the 3G internet, and the car computer was connected to a 10" touch screen I bought on ebay for $50.
The screen was just a screen, nothing fancy. I attached it over top of the cassette deck using velcro. But I had GPS, internet radio (pandora at the time), the phone could be passed around as a remote to anyone in the car, I could play games on the screen (with an emulator and wired controllers). When I got home, I had an extension cord in the yard that I'd plug into the car computer sometimes.
The car computer ran off a power inverter while driving, but when parked at home, plugging it in, I used it like a NAS. I'd play games off the car computer, or transfer new music, new movies, update the maps. I also used it as the storage location for the motion activated USB cameras I had outside, so when I got in the car I could view the clips it captured.

I was actually thinking of keeping my Original phone since its older. My have been using my other phone for at least a year until I just got my dads old phone which is a Galaxy note 8. Im using the Note 8 Phone a lot more since its brand new to me in a way but im still thinking about what to do with my older phone. (My older Phone is a Galaxy Note 5).

i know most old android phone is usefull but old apple product is hard to use
,i mean for example i have ipad 2(not sure about iphone tho),it work just fine,but since its old,watching any video there is impossible, if watch youtube it guide to update on appstore which is unable to update because the version is too low, if trying to watch random video on web,it doesnt work at all,most app doesnt even allow to download on lower version,since eveything on it is useless,i just plug it into my laptop and it will become my monitor which is convenient

You can, but your "tablet" would be smaller than your phone and slower......and with short life battery...
Hey Techformative, what are uses of an android phone that only requires the camera?
My Samsung S5 phone is 8 years old. Because of this, the battery life only lasts about 1 hour. The screen is on the way out. The speed of the phone runs fine. The camera however is still great.

Yeah most phones don't need a sim card to be used for other things
U can use it asa dash cam or web cam. Seriously it's worth it. Or use it as Google maps while driving.

Keep the S10e as much as you can. even replace the battery if necessary. Is such a good phone. I had it for almost 3 years, reset it and gave it to my wife. It runs now like new.
Hi I know this is a random coment. I've got my old sony . It had water damage. It won't turn on. Any suggestions what I could do please ?
take it apart, douse the main board in 99% rubbing alcohol. Clean out any white stains you see, take off the steel plates protecting the main chips if there are any. Clean all connectors and ribbons. Clean the camera and all placed where needed. Dont worry, rubbing alcohol can never damage a phone, just don't get any on the LCD unless you are wiping it with a cloth

I found Samsung has many blotwares. More complicated to re-config their system. Tried to turn my S7 into a gaming device, it didn't work at all. Had to go to the root file and reconfigure "something" which I don't know how to ... 🤔🤔 Anyone can help?

In 2011-2013 there was a craze for phones with stereoscopic 3D displays, they also could shoot in 3D with a dual camera set up..somewhat like a Nintendo 3DS..examples include the HTC Evo 3D and LG Optimus 3D

I remember it was Ubuntu touch and what I can remember I used a os flasher on my pc to install it while twrp is on top as recovery. And since then that phone broke so ive changed my old one

@@_pinguso_ I know about a tool for Samsung called Odin (the Samsung flashing tool) or alternatively you may root the phone entirely then install twrp as that's how people said how they install other types of os in their phone, mines a oppo a37 however it quickly died due to water damage and battery bloated

I actually use them as a so called fake cell phone. Safety type thing always have 2 phone on you. 1 old and your main phone. Put the old phone where everyone can see it but hide the new phone. If someone is going to steal your phone they will go after the old one instead of your main phone. I do the same thing with all of my wallets. There for there no reason to get upset or cancel every card or get a new phone. Report it and go on.
