Dee-🤡 fighting a losing battle against himself. Mad at the world because he not bringing in 7 figure checks like 50 Cent and isn't being treated like he's the next J. Cole, Mos Def, Pusha T & Common. There's a blk rapper that pushes that Hebrew Israelite stuff & he's backed by the smalhats that run the industry, but despite his connections pushing him heavily, they couldn't get the world to acknowledge him either. Clowns like Dee-1 just need to accept that people don't listen to music to be bible thumped, they listen to be *ENTERTAINED*
They really can’t take any accountability. They immediately try to justify it by saying they came from nothing and talking about what they come from. That’s bull, you don’t have to do that
Who is this "they"? Plenty of rappers have said that's what the people want to hear. If you don't like their music, just move along. He just wants to complain about the music. Won't change anything
One thing I noticed about NWA is the powers that be always give them accolades. The image the portrayed is the same behavior they act like they despise in our community, but NWA is so respected by them? Like do they really honor some black dudes from Compton saying "F the police"? LOL And he's got a point. It's a fine line because I understand many were coming from rough environments and speaking the language they understood at the time. But with a lot of rappers, it wasn't to just talk about their life; it was to glamorize it. And a lot of it was exaggerated. I listened to it and some still from time to time, but I never bought into it to want to be like them. Many rappers were just saying whatever to get a check without consideration of those who were more easily influenced.
@@davruck1 Well don't just write a blanket statement. Debate my points and by the end of it, whoever reads this will decide who is "slow". But I know you don't want to do that.
@@1tmproductions bro you don’t have a point. Lots of rappers got accolades. People can make music about whatever they wish. It’s art. People always whining about hip hop while ignoring the violence the American perpetuates overseas and in the cities. Btw violence has decreased since NWA came out. So maybe we should be thanking them.
@@davruck1 Your point about America's domestic and international violence had nothing to do with what I wrote. Maybe some people don't understand those things but not me. I've pointed that out on various convos and blogs, just like I'm pointing this out. But just because that's true doesn't mean artists have no responsibility. So, you can understand how some parts of the American system can have the power and desire to perpetuate violence, but not understand how they would use something as powerful and influential as Hip Hop to do so??? I understand the concept of art. That's why if you read what I wrote, I said it's a thin line. I didn't just beat up the artists. But like I said many of them exaggerated and sensationalized it. At that point, it's not simply "artistry", it's done primarily for monetary gain. So, someone pretending to be a gangster to please a label and sell that to the masses for the label to get paid and them to get their cut, is not simply an artist. And what is the correlation with violence decreasing and NWA coming out? Hate crimes against black people in the south have decreased since the Klan came out. So, based on your logic we should thank them too?
They were a plant put in place by that youwish promoter Jerry Heller. He specifically targeted them because the youwish masters wanted a rap group that would promote us calling each other niggas, women hoes and bitches, robbing folks, killing each other and their name NIGGAS WITH ATTITUDE was the kicker. Plan completed. And let’s not forget Hollywood took advantage to by financing movies like boys in the hood, menace to society, new jack city to name s few. There have been so many so called black folks who have sold out for money and fame back then and today that has enabled their plan to work. But y’all don’t want to talk about who’s behind it and the reasons why y’all are in the condition you’re in. Or do anything about it. So continue to live young bruhs and sistas dying for nonsensical reasons.
I watch the video and listen and analyze and i do understand where the brotha is coming from and i get it there were alot of trap rappers that was glorify alot of drug pushing especially if that was the life some of them was living at that time when they made the music.and i do understand the side of the ones who were put in those positions who face through trying times to try to find a way out or didnt have alot of alternatives in their environment that can direct them to go the right way.and i wont ever knock another brotha for trying to provide and feed their fam i dont have the right to judge none of them cause i didnt live the life they live.now the only issue im sure some of us would be concern about is these trap rappers still drug pushing right now cause if they are making an affordable living of music and they are still selling drugs and folks and kids are getting hurt behind this then we definitely have a big issue on our hands that we as the community has to come and unify to fix that matter.
I agree because nowadays artists make diss records every day and it’s so watered down that when artist makes diss records it sounds like every other song they made difference between artist in the past and artist today is artist only made one type of dish record and that was it didn’t make multiple records at once💯 but drill music is so played out and out of control that I don’t think there’s anymore up-and-coming artist that can come up off that genre of rap 🤷🏾♂️ sorry any artist that tries they don’t get as big or they just fall right into the algorithm with the rest that never make it big!💯
As much as I love NWA ,BDP and others in the game that Glorified this type of music .....I respect this Dude opinion 💯 percent and we need more guys like him in the game, once upon a time it was diversity in hip Hop that made it so unique.. now today everybody sounds the same and talking about the same Sh*t..... I'm just saying 🤷🏾♂️
NWA and 2 live crew. I grew up in an urban area and I was 12 years old listening to, “don’t matter just don’t bite it” and yes, it did affect me and not in a good way. It shaped how I saw the world as a young woman trying to figure out what my place was. Ice cube has been very outspoken about how certain attitudes and especially racism hurts him, and rightfully so, but he won’t take any responsibility for the horrific lyrics calling women every name in the book and promoting violence against them. When he’s asked about it he goes, “well if you’re not a ho you shouldn’t worry about it.” What a freaking cop out. 😐
When I put on a rap song/trap music record, it's only entertainment. In many songs people are only telling their story of what they saw or what they had to do to survive. No one goes and blow up the mall because a mall was blown up in their favorite action movie so why feel that you must live to what is being said on record? There are many influences all around us. What you choose to be influenced by is a personal matter ultimately.
It’s a two way perspective. On one side you can saw “they made destruction music” but on the other side they are reporting what’s happening in some of these urban areas. It’s about balance tho
Alot of this music is what kept hip hop going.Without n.w.a and Kool g rap where would hip hop be?With ice-t introducing west coast gangs where would hip hop be
At the end of the day I agree but still there’s like action movies and horror movies and trap music you should enjoy it and not be transfixed calling entertainment mind control is a bit extreme
It's not a problem endemic to black people or hip hop, it's a social issue at large. Escobar, mafia, napoleon.... so many, it's a problem for humans full stop
How can you not glorifie something you see everyday, something you experienced all your life, and something you lived. Life is not all righteous, or all evil. You can make a variety of music that's real, or your perception. That's what makes a artist an artist, sharing thier life experiences, that's what makes you a legend.
Hold up swole up, isnt Mac from No limit this guy's big bro if im not mistaken? I had Mac 1st solo album and Mac was talking that shit. So i guess he dont think his bro is a legend. Damn
The problem here is that you can't prove if someone is glorifying a certain lifestyle or activity. The whole point of a poem or song is that it emotionally - and oftentimes irrationally - conveys what the artist was feeling at the time of conception. Works of art are passionate. They don't have to be logical. They don't need to be logical. If I make a song about being a serial killer, I am expressing how I feel at the moment and what I felt like doing at the time. If you take that away from music, you remove half of the artistry that has gone into creative projects in all history. You can't have rap music and never passionately rap about the stress of life or the negative things surrounding you in the world. Rap is like Metal. It's a morbid and rugged art. You can't just have rap songs that focus on icecream and roses and exclude all the ones that dive into the elements plaguing society. And when the rapper does dive into it, you can't tell him if he's glorifying it or expressing it. Only he can decide that.
To be fair when NWA was making those records in the beginning they didn't know they would blow up and they were making the songs just for the homies to laugh to in the neighborhood. So its not an excuse just saying they didn't come in thinking their music would fuel such a violent response.
@arikadoriyama4724 When they was making they debut you could count on one hand rappers that blew up and most didn't even take rap serious on top of that they was fresh outta high school. How responsible were you as a teenager, early adult? Ok then but the reality is they said alot of stuff that was just the hard reality while people was rapping like the ghetto was Disney Land smh

We love to say as men that women don't take accountability but it's grown rappers around here spreading literal poison just like Nas & Swizz Beatz even said and we have to call it out. I'm just a failed rapper but as a MAN we owe our people the TRUTH
Religion makes people narrow minded and judgmental. Music is about understanding not judgement.
@@davruck1soo...bc he's religious u can't acknowledge that there's lots of glorification of vices in music?
@@davruck1 religion keeps people in check with their morals n its necessary
Keep him as a regular guest!!
No. It'll just be new complaints.
FACTS!!!!💯
Jcole cousin tripping 🤣
Run this interview up all facts spoke salute D1💯
They really can’t take any accountability. They immediately try to justify it by saying they came from nothing and talking about what they come from. That’s bull, you don’t have to do that
Who’s they? White Americans? No they’ve never taken responsibility for supporting multiple genocides
Who is this "they"? Plenty of rappers have said that's what the people want to hear. If you don't like their music, just move along. He just wants to complain about the music. Won't change anything
@@LurnWell he’s mad cuz his music is shitty.
I don’t even hate to say it. This brother is absolutely right! I always said music messes up black communities more than we think
It’s rare to hear a man especially a younger man speak like this. Very refreshing!
Dee1 sounds like a very educated, sincere, genuine, young brother.
I hate that I agree with this damn! He got me
As an "old head", I've never heard of this Brother. Because of these interviews, I highly respect him.
He isn’t lying tho,but the famous rappers going respond, and talk crazy to him.
They call Rock N Roll people Legends like wtf
One thing I noticed about NWA is the powers that be always give them accolades. The image the portrayed is the same behavior they act like they despise in our community, but NWA is so respected by them? Like do they really honor some black dudes from Compton saying "F the police"? LOL
And he's got a point.
You sound as slow as he is
@@davruck1 Well don't just write a blanket statement.
What’s with the stormtrooper 👀
Dee 1 Stands On Business, He's Been Like This Since Day 1... I Got Up On Him When He Did That Tribute To MAC!!!
He damn right. And ues NWA + Eazy a lot of they're most memorable songs we're about criminal behavior.
I totally respect that. It doesn't uplift the black community at all. RIP Tupac Shakur
AOD. 🇭🇹 still here. Super great questions as Usual. Salute
You sound dumb
Hurts to hear a lot of this but he’s so right
Tupac The Greatest Rapper/Artist of Our Era in humanity
FACTS 🐐🐐🐐
Is this Rachel dolezals brother
As much as I love NWA ,BDP and others in the game that Glorified this type of music .....I respect this Dude opinion 💯 percent and we need more guys like him in the game, once upon a time it was diversity in hip Hop that made it so unique.. now today everybody sounds the same and talking about the same Sh*t..... I'm just saying 🤷🏾♂️
A man of God!
Thank you 🙏 I agree with everything this kid is saying
This brother very conscious ans I agree with him. I agree with Special Ed as well.
At the end of the day positive music is not going anywhere and negative music not either so get over it people it’s simple I love both
I don't know for y'all but Gucci is a legend for me...and I'mma 90 boy.
Gucci is trash that's retarted rap....
He said LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN!!!!! Amen to that brother💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Thank you Finally somebody not afraid to say Trap music is Garbage
I agree 100%.
It’s a two way perspective. On one side you can saw “they made destruction music” but on the other side they are reporting what’s happening in some of these urban areas. It’s about balance tho
This young brother is so on point.
This dude is talented but nobody ever thinks about him until he criticizes someone else lol
Exactly 💯👊🏿
I rather watch his whole interview then watch clips
trap bs is not Hip-Hop. period!
You had me at the title...
Alot of this music is what kept hip hop going.Without n.w.a and Kool g rap where would hip hop be?With ice-t introducing west coast gangs where would hip hop be
BRO SPITTIN TRUTH. LET US ALL BE THIS HONEST AND HEALING OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY WILL BEGIN.
Dude sounds real fun at parties
We need more like you
Much love to yall
At the end of the day I agree but still there’s like action movies and horror movies and trap music you should enjoy it and not be transfixed calling entertainment mind control is a bit extreme
He’s a crash dummy which is why he’s a religious nut. Very gullible
Brilliantly said!
Bro speaking real shit 💩, why he sound like the water boy tho
He is right man ! The hip hop started as fun thing, ended up such a NOT right and negative thing !
It’s still fun. You crybabies are the problem. If you don’t like the music stfu.
It's not a problem endemic to black people or hip hop, it's a social issue at large.
Escobar, mafia, napoleon.... so many, it's a problem for humans full stop
I love this wise young man.
How can you not glorifie something you see everyday, something you experienced all your life, and something you lived. Life is not all righteous, or all evil. You can make a variety of music that's real, or your perception. That's what makes a artist an artist, sharing thier life experiences, that's what makes you a legend.
These guys are 🤡 judging shit they never experienced. They don’t understand art. It’s self expression not dogma
💯✊🏾💯✊🏾💯✊🏾💯✊🏾💯
It’s great to hear positive music and perspectives.
But someone has to tell the negative that exist ass well
Dee-1 something serious 😂💯💯💯
This brotha speaks TRUTH
Iono why but soon as he started talking I thought of Adam Sandler the waterboy but he said some real shit
Hold up swole up, isnt Mac from No limit this guy's big bro if im not mistaken? I had Mac 1st solo album and Mac was talking that shit. So i guess he dont think his bro is a legend. Damn
Just because you believe something doesn’t make it fact when he says that’s a fact
Keep exposing them sir
The legends be the losers and the real be the lames. That’s why I don’t listen to rap no more!
Hes not old Enough to speak on this hes wrong NWA was shining a light to what was going on in the hood
@arikadoriyama4724 The concept of "making it" wasn't even around yet smh. Dee 1 holding these dudes accountable for raps Ice Cube wrote on a school bus.
Bro got a damn good point 💯💯💯💯💯💯
