One of my favorite hymns since first hearing it at Harding University in 1979. This arrangement is breathtaking and beautifully sung as well.

When I found this piece by accident my heart stopped when I first heard the vocals. I can't believe I can't find this piece anyway to buy. I can't stop listening to it. This would make a beautiful piece to have in the in the selections for Solo and Ensemble for large group. Beautiful piece I love it and I can't wait to hear what you do next.
It took me to the middle of the song to realize this was the lyrical passage in one of my All County Orchestra pieces, Finlandia! Beautiful!

Wow. I didn't know that Sibelius was using a hymn in Finladia. I haven't known this specific song before, so hearing it now adds context to Finlandia that makes it even better.
It is actually the other way around. Finlandia came first. Given the popularity of the theme, Sibelius later arranged it into a song. This english version is set to a different text.

From Sibelius' fine work "Finlandia". I played this symphonical poem at a music school youth Symphonic orchestra many years ago at 1985. I would get to know if the melody is written by Sibelius or from the United States or from Finland and tradited.

Do you have an (or any) examples of the voices individually (or know where I could find some)? I'm trying to find good examples of SATB voices to play for my students. It's elementary and I'm introducing voice range, pitch, and timbre.
So how did u do this? I use musescore software. But what do I need to record my voices and stuff for my UA-cam channel

As a farewell and thank you, I wanted to commemorate the choir teacher at the high school for being such a wonderful director, and for never failing to be there when we needed her. As a thank you from myself and seven other students, (as well as a collective one from all of her students), we decided to come together and sing this piece to her. There is eight of us, but I have not been able to find your piece to purchase to give you proper credit. This piece is gorgeous and very well arranged, and I'm sad because I feel like using this piece without your consent or without purchase is just not right. I really want to do something to thank you for sharing this piece and to give you credit where credit is due. Please reply back, if it is not alright to use this piece or to try to make a document version of it to be easier to look at while studying, please tell me as soon as possible and I will get rid of everything immediately. I'm pretty sure its just one person singing this. My choir teacher always made our part tracks just like this and it sounds a lot like him as well.

Finlandia is as important to us as our national song. This just feels so stolen. What next? Put new words to our national hymn, as well, and turn it i to a church hymn? 😔
Why such a fake sound?
It's just one dude singing all the parts. Seriously, a well-written piece. I certainly wish it was sung by a competent choir and not a very odd sounding individual… LOL

yeah, there's something wierd there --- the vibrato is perfectly matched --- maybe it's just the compression and eq they added or maybe its auto-tune, or maybe he just sings that consistantly
