Milo eo Well I mean RM wasn't lying when he said they weren't fluent. They definitely understand a lot of English/can speak a bit but not at the stage of being comfortable enough to be articulate and hold a long conversation (i.e. Fluent) I think in a year or two, they can definitely become fluent. I don't think Hobi was throwing shade at all and even here at 1:07, you can see RM encouraging Hobi to continue speaking in English :)
singpraise07 I think they can become fluent faster than that, it could take them even months. English is actually really easy, once you get the hang of it everything else comes naturally, and faster than you can realize you are already speaking in English. That happened to me and I have never lived in any English speaking country. I learned it listening to music, watching TV and videos, and setting my phone to English, and eventually everything became clearer and clearer. It took less than a year for my English to be good enough, and I have been perfecting it since then. BTS already have the basic knowledge, and since they have been recently more connected with the language they will be able to understand and speak in no time.

I think it's so cute when they speak English. Not because they're trying, but it's the way they execute it and deliver it. I also think it's amazing how they aren't afraid to speak a language that maybe they don't know well. Not a lot of people have the courage to do that. I admire that they actually try to reach out to their fans who do speak English. I'll admit I haven't listen to them a lot but so far I admire them for what they do. They definitely understand a lot of English/can speak a bit but not at the stage of being comfortable enough to be articulate and hold a long conversation (i.e. Fluent) I think in a year or two, they can definitely become fluent. I don't think Hobi was throwing shade at all and even here at 1:07, you can see RM encouraging Hobi to continue speaking in English :)
singpraise07 I think they can become fluent faster than that, it could take them even months. English is actually really easy, once you get the hang of it everything else comes naturally, and faster than you can realize you are already speaking in English. That happened to me and I have never lived in any English speaking country. I learned it listening to music, watching TV and videos, and setting my phone to English, and eventually everything became clearer and clearer. It took less than a year for my English to be good enough, and I have been perfecting it since then.
BTS already have the basic knowledge, and since they have been recently more connected with the language they will be able to understand and speak in no time.
