- Here's my take on Alan Brandt and Bob Haymes' 'That's All', recorded live at Mr. Vain. / mrvainbrisbane
'That's All' was written in 1952 and first recorded by Nat King Cole in 1953, though it wasn't a major success. Later, though, Bobby Darin recorded the song in 1959, which brought the song wider popularity.
It has also been recorded by Michael Bublé, June Christy, Billy Eckstine, Connie Francis, Judy Garland, Johnny Hartman, Dick Haymes (Bob Haymes' older brother), Stacey Kent, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormé, Sarah Vaughan, and many others. I hope you enjoy it!

Merci beaucoup, Zahra !
I love your piano playing. Your singing is fine. I ask you though to try something with your singing - just for fun. You have a nice voice - a nice tenor. You sing from far back in your mouth - your throat - for a pure sound. That's how we are taught to sing in a chorus. But you have a microphone. Louis Armstrong sang in the same range as you, but his voice sounds lower because he sang in the front of his mouth and added that raspy thing to give it some personality. Another example; Dean Martin sang in the middle of his mouth to give it some depth. Singers can do that with microphones. You don't have to change the way you record. Just have some fun with it on your own. Move your voice around front to back and hear what happens. Also, carry the phrase -- you seem to want to sing a lot of words quickly -- nope -- take your time to carry the phrase. As they used to say "lay back." Love you man!!! You the best!
Those are great suggestions! I'm always keen for feedback, so I really appreciate you taking the time to provide those tips. Thanks!
@@jordanasmussen Thanks for being polite about my suggestions! You have a good heart!
