Greetings from Australia. How awesome your archival footage is. A pleasent change from the tech servicing and an amazing opportunity to see how much has changed over the course of time.
I shoot tech videos on my days off, Tuesday wed and thursday. The other days I will be going through the boxes of films looking for interesting things to show as I too find these films are pure gold. Never know what I will find. I have many reels, so there will be much to add.
The shape of this reels is still good? No sticking problems or so? I think umi have heard you in one video you have a air conditioned vault for your treasures
Well, even being from the UK I have never seen the Queen although she has been to our town a few times, however it is nice to kind of experience the excitement of her majesty passing on by and waving to everybody. I hope that Peacock float won a prize. The best by far. Loved the air show! Great colour too❤
I believe most of the flying footage in this video is actually from an airshow held at Vancouver intl airport in 1959. The flyover at the end of the T-33's in the "50" formation was for the 50th anniversary of aviation in Canada in 1959. The comet and Victor flybys were arranged because of the 1959 Royal visit. The inaugural Abbotsford show in '62 was quite small and didn't attract many military participants.
All this footage was shot by my late father in-law, so it isn't like I can just ask him what year it was shot. I am working off notes stuffed in the film can as this was shot before I or my wife was even a consideration.
@@12voltvids Absolutely. Sure looked like Abbotsford at first glance, but some of the background scenery didn't look right. Either way, looked like a great show.
Wow love this. Color looks really nice. Do you scan it with that Wolverine scanner you had on your channel a couple years ago? Edit: Ah yes it looks like you are. I see your comment from two video past where you detail it out. Very cool!
Yes wolverine scanner. Turned off the aspect lock in the export settings as youtube was screwing up the published versions. Looks good in this one. Don't know why, but it must be a flag setting in the MP4 output that caused a processing problem, as the playback was stretched like it would be on 16x9, but still in a 4x3 frame, even though the file was good when played directly. Looks better now.
I will tell you who. A chap named John senchak. He is banned from my channel and has made about 1500 spam complaints against my channel because he doesn't like these videos. A certifiable nut case, he gets upset when I post videos daily. Reports me if I publish multiple videos in a short time. I have struck a nerve and my response to this piece of garbage will be to publish even more because as a content producer that is my right. The more I publish the more money I make and I like making money and i enjoy making John's blood boil. Perhaps if i get him mad enough he will do what the rest of us do when we get board of a channel, unsubscribe and go away.
So he doesn't like you work hard, struggle to fix stuff that is almost important to make money on, spend hours editing for a few bucks? I loved this video. Thanks.
He fires off complaints to google, UA-cam, my isp, government officials saying I am violating spam laws. Someone needs to go back to school to understand what spam is and what constitutes spam. Spam by definition is unsolicited email, typically of a commercial nature, but not limited to commercial stuff. It could be any advertising. All commercial must have an opt out button or link for those that do not wish to receive it. What I am doing, or any user of any social media, be it UA-cam, Instagram facebook, ect is posting content to the platform. That is my right as a registered user of the platform and is in the guidelines. There is no policy as to any limits as to how many unique videos I can post, I could post 20 5 minute videos or 1 60 minute. Makes no difference. UA-cam will promote the videos that match targeted audiences based on viewing history. Also users can subscribe to be notified of new videos. That is called opting in, and this is what this goof does. Subscribe and have notifications turned on then whine and complain when he gets the notifications he asked to receive. He continues to publish an address he thinks I live at, which is infact my parents old address where my sister lives because I use her address for mail. He gets ignored on my end. Every variation of his name is permanently blocked so you won't see any posts from him.

That is why I call these films buried treasures. You have a keen eye.
who on earth could give this a thumbs down there must be something wrong with them.
