I've been looking for a video like this! Something I can use to guide me as I look for messier objects with binoculars. Thanks, and I really enjoyed this! Going to look for more from you

Had to come back and share our experience. This video was very helpful as I said before. We used it to locate M2, M31, and M42. I may be forgetting one. We also located Pleiades using the methods described here. No software needed. Just some patience and searching! Thanks again!

I'm sorry, but I don't like this video. You don't really help us to find these objects. The star map you use for your demonstrations is really "old school," and actually quite terrible for practical use. Most amateur astronomers today use Stellarium to find objects, and even with that tool, it's still very difficult to find deep sky objects in the night sky unless you have a telescope with a computer guide on the mount. Very exspensive!
