It's also the reason why he didn't show up in Smallville, although that was due to a film embargo with the Dark Knight trilogy at the time. Same thing with Wonder Woman not showing up in that show or The Batman cartoon since a movie (and briefly a show) of her was in development at the time before being delayed/cancelled. The Suicide Squad were supposed to show up once more in Arrow season 3 to set up a spin off, but the 2016 movie led to them cutting the episode and shelving it (Harley was gonna finally make her debut in it and they teased her since season 1 of Arrow). Can we PLEASE agree, that the "Run Barry, run" line is wayyy overused and just annoying to hear at this point? That aside, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with The Red Death! @@TheMeme882 It's due to the stupid Batman TV live action rights being a mess. Everyone can show up including Bruce Wayne, but not Batman himself. It's also the reason why he didn't show up in Smallville, although that was due to a film embargo with the Dark Knight trilogy at the time. Same thing with Wonder Woman not showing up in that show or The Batman cartoon since a movie (and briefly a show) of her was in development at the time before being delayed/cancelled. The Suicide Squad were supposed to show up once more in Arrow season 3 to set up a spin off, but the 2016 movie led to them cutting the episode and shelving it (Harley was gonna finally make her debut in it and they teased her since season 1 of Arrow). Although it seems that the origin for this version of Red Death might be similar to the one in the comics in which Bruce merged with Flash, but they'll probably say that it is Batwoman with either a evil speedster or Red Death is an alternate evil universe version of Batwoman (Red Death was mentioned to exist in the multiverse in season 5 of Flash).

I really hope they do this villain correctly. Godspeed was a complete joke and they messed him up completely. I haven’t read the comics, but i really don’t understand how The Red Death can be any worse than Thawne, or Zoom who almost single-handedly destroyed the entire multiverse and was probably a bigger threat than anyone else Team Flash have ever faced. To me, it seems like the red death is just a copy of Thawne right now, out there to destroy Barry’s life or whatever.

The only way to be connected to the Positive Speedforce, is to be chosen by it - and Thawne never was.

That still doesn't change the fact that Thawne quite literally says that he has no connection to the actual Speedforce.
If he had, he wouldn't need to create his own Negative Speedforce (because yeah, the one he uses in the Show, is something he created on his own - which is also something he literally says in the Show).

Can we PLEASE agree, that the "Run Barry, run" line is wayyy overused and just annoying to hear at this point? That aside, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with The Red Death! This season has a lot of potential, and it would be really cool if they found a way to get Oliver, Barry and Kara in one more scene together before the big send off (I understand it's unlikely they can include Oliver)
It's a catchphrase that worked with Wells, and that's about it (because with his characters, it at least felt natural).
Overall they just can't think of anything better, so they overuse this line as hell.
