Yacht companies need to start lending you boats for weekends so you can do proper long-form reviews! This sort of content (and the vacation videos you did last summer) is what really motivates me to want to get a boat! :) THANK YOU NICK!
A fascinating video. As much as I love super yacht walkthroughs, I am finding your insights into operating a small boat even more interesting. Obviously, willingness, time and costs are a consideration but I’d really enjoy seeing you and your ‘officer on the bridge’ taking Smugglers blues 2 on longer trips. Maybe combine with your Walkaholic videos to do a sort of travelogue? You have a unique style of journalism that make these videos so watchable Nick. Many thanks
Would be very interesting to see a break down of costs for a year for running a boat like his and maybe how it scales with size of boat. Trouble is talking money is very “not the done thing” for many British. Be up to Nick if he’s comfortable with revealing that kind of information.
I asked Nick in a previous video if he would give us the full Aquaholic Tour of the Symphony of the Seas and he replied back that the video would about a week long. With the amount of attention to detail that he gives us in his videos, I think it would probably last more like a month!
I know this is a joke but there’s no correct spelling of ‘Valor’. The ship is at anchor due to it being creeper to be in the anchorage rather than use the pier, the pier also just may not be suitable for such a large ship.
@@worldintime5021 I agree: there IS no correct spelling of 'Valor' - 'Valour' on the other hand is listed in the Oxford English Dictionary as being spelled with a 'u', so within British waters at least, the correct spelling is with a 'u'. 👅

Just re-watching this. You really sell Boating in these videos! If only I just lived a bit closer to the sea I would be doing exactly that come the summer.. I especially like the Pizza and Wine anchored off a nice bay in the evening sunshine! Not at all unpleasant indeed.
I can imagine the next video... "Welcome to the full Aquaholic tour of the Carnival Valor cruise ship, we're going to see the accommodation, galley, crew areas, the engines, the lot! Ooh look, full standing head room in the engine room!" 😂

That cruise ship was huge, back in the day i was going out to the Isle of Wight on the hydrofoil, and the QE2 was coming into berth. We went right past her, from about 100 feet away. Talk about big....
I had a dolphin swim right under my paddleboard one time. Probably about a foot under me. I could have reached out and touched him if I wanted but I didnt want to spook him or anything. First I just saw the dorsal and had a bit of a panic but once I realized it was a dolphin it was amazing

Funicular is the term you were looking for, however, what you identified in Babbacombe is not a funicular. For it to be a funicular it has to one track, two cars and half way along there will be a split into two tracks to allow the cars to pass.
Nick, thank you for a most excellent perspective of the Express cruiser life in the UK. Your boat/yacht reviews are excellent from the viewpoint of a US east coast Express cruiser like myself.
