Love the SF pipeline breakdown! It took your review to have me speculate that E-6 is FLINT's (Pay) Grade, but Rank is still Warrant Officer as you need to be to fly the choppa. Perhaps his rescue mission was unsanctioned, such that the brass docked his salary, but allowed the rank because a demotion is a bad look after bringing the boys home. 😜
Yeah, I mean, who knows lol perhaps he was in the choppa coordinating the rescue until it came time for insertion? Would love to ask Larry Hama about this one. Thanks for watching!
Now that's a deep dive into Flint's specialty in the service. Great show as always James. I hope Hasbro does a Retro Flint that used the Recondo body, Outback legs, and Outback forearms with Shotgun shell wetgear. It could also use the shotgun Cover Girl and Hawk have with the pistol Gung-Ho has.

@@agentchuckles still go with the Black Beret with the red Special Forces logo. Honestly, the Flint head & Beret on the Classified figure were perfect when it comes to the character.

Flint does like to live on the wild side
So here's my theory. The black beret and E6 grade are out of universe Hasbro errors and can be ignored. Flint enlisted after college and when the standard special forces training pipeline airborne, ranger, special forces, where he becake a SF warrant officer. He was then tapped for the GI Joe team. GI Joe command, seeing he was already a good helicopter pilot in his civilian life as a hobby, put him through the helicopter training to qualify for the Blackhawk, as it's always good for a group like them to have a spare chopper pilot.
That’s a good theory. My belief is that the “secondary military specialty” business is more about what they do for the Joe team. I like it! Thanks for watching!
