For the v2 hayabusa I noticed that you didn't put the top hat on before you put the spring down on the lever. Is that top hat not supposed to be included in the lever? I noticed the picture on the site for the Otto v2 showed it
Hey got a question for the people that have tried both OTTO DIY V1 & V5 kits, aswell as a Buttercade Sanwa JLF / Sanjuks V3 / Otto V5 Stainless Steel Pivot in a normal JLF lever, what feels best and how do they differ from each other?? If OTTO DIY V5 are combined with a Buttercade Sanwa JLF Otto V5 Stainless steel pivot, is it even more superior than any of the just mentioned stand alone? and on a side note witch of the actuators ( that part that hits the micro switches and holds the spring in) are the normal sized one that is standard in every sanwa JLF? 12/12,5 or 13mm ?
Do I need to buy a JLF 2lb spring with this kit? Someone mentioned it comes with a heavier spring but what is the tension on that spring? Is it the 2lb one or something else? Also was the mounting plate issue ever addressed or cleared up? I want to buy and install the V5 with my Hori RAP pro N.
@@focusattackcom Just installed mine yesterday, I left the metal washer on because I hadn't seen this video, got lucky and found this comment as I was wondering about it. I think this should be mentioned on your product page too!
hi, i recently ordered an OTTO DIY kit from your store and cannot find any help with my issue elsewhere so i'm asking here in hopes you will reply -- i am trying to upgrade my sanwa JLF stick, but am running into a problem when it comes to putting the mounting plate back on. the rim of the core is simply too wide/thick and the mounting plate is refusing to rest flatly against the modular body as a result, making it impossible to screw in. am i doing something wrong? i am positive this is a JLF-P1 plate. thanks in advance.
May need some photos. Also, we've had people try to install these on knockoff Sanwa JLFs to varying results. We've not had any reports like yours before. That said, please send a message to support @ focusattack.com and we'll troubleshoot with you.
I use the kowal oversized actuator on my silent jlf I got from FA, and it works great on SF6. I just ordered otto v5 for it. Please let me know if I'll have any issues. Thank you👍
almost every time i go from all the left or right and let go for neutral in out , it bounces past neutral and gives me an opposite end input . how should i fix this ? using a JLF with the V5
It's not needed - something we had when the OTTO DIY was introduced and Jasen's Customs and Arcade Shock included it. AS did away with it and we will too.
Magenta is an optical product. Given the material is is not likely to work well as there are no switches to engage. I don't own it to confirm, however.
"OTTO DIY made each major plastic component of the kit out of Polytetrafluoroethylene, or PTFE. It is commonly known as Teflon®. Not only does this material give the kit components their unique color, but significantly reduces friction on components that must interact with each other. For example, the pivot and pivot core of the OTTO DIY kit will hardly need greasing, producing nearly fluid directional control." It's some kind of performance mod.
@@lloydpatam4189 If I try the Kowal oversized actuator in a Sanwa JLF, will it cause a lot of wear and tear with plastic shavings in the case? Like will it do long term damage to the components in and around the lever over time? Somebody said that in another youtube comment so I am just trying to confirm it.
I'm afraid not at this time, as the gates do not have a separate part that would allow you to swap in octogate. That said, the BYD Rounded Gate is designed to serve as an alternative, allowing for more circular movesets.

You saved my ass on those screws.
Yea those screws were no joke
11:38 this black plastic holder, did you forget to install this on the V2 here? 24:19
he did
i just ordered an extra mounting plate with my otto.
Where can i get those in europe ? I saw some being sold by SInoarcade from China. Is it the original ?
Is it really a big difference?? From stock to v2/v5? ?

Yes you need it. If you don't install that "top hat" it's going to feel very sloppy. Found this out through experimentation.
Ya, he forgot to put the 'spring base' on it.
is the v2 compatible with the PHREAKMODS: THE LINK EX GROOVE EDITION
I've asked John Buttero of Buttercade and he confirms that the Phreakmods Link EX Groove works with V2
Yes cus I installed it
Welp I ended up stripping the screws and had to buy another mounting plate. :(

If you put the Otto V2 in the Hayabusa lever does it have a noise click just the same in hayabusa lever?
Do we not need to add the metal washer between the body and the spring holder? 11:40
Due to the material changes in the OTTO DIY body, the metal washer is no longer needed.

JLF and Hori Hayabusa

any idea when the V5 will be back in stock?

The v2 mod will it work with the sanjuks v3 stick?
JLF only - sorry!
Just curious what’s the point of these kits? If you already have a working JLF stick what’s the reason of putting a V5 kit on one.

Can I use the KOWAL octogate with the V5? Can and should I use the oversized actuator I got from y’all to use with the KOWAL?
I don't see that an an issue, but cannot confirm. The V5 has 3 size actuators for a similar purpose.

No - the Crystal uses their own Qanba lever. You'd have to swap with a Sanwa JLF.
