- Situated in a quiet neighborhood just outside New York City, lays a now dormant mansion, in an exact opposite shape than it was in 2019. This luxurious 19 thousand square foot house once boasted a private lake, island, home theater, and indoor pool, owned by a man named Alexander Fiola and his wife. With help from corrupt city workers, Alex and his wife embezzled the NYC transportation system for millions of dollars in just a couple of years. However, a quiet scam operation turned violent after a worker threatened to snitch if he was not paid a large amount of cash by Alex. After looking through records, I found Alexander quoted saying, “Let's make this man disappear,” and they did just that, almost. After receiving an anonymous tip, the police were dispatched to their home, where they found a dead body inside the truck of Alex’s car. It seems like they quieted the threat, but were not quick enough to dispose of it. After that, he and his wife were thrown in jail and the home was seized by the state, and after scavenging through it, hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, jewelry, and even armour-piercing bullets were found hidden inside walls, and in a safe. I Googled the same name and found nothing but I did find an article that 5 people including a husband and wife were charged with embezzling NYC in 2019 but have yet to go to court but they are in jail no metion of a murder

From what i heard the father and son got just two or three years. And the mother got five years probation. Because they never found the man that was missing. Or no evidence. And the mansion is still belongs to them. And it is having renovations on it. I guess so when they get out they can move back in it. Someone else has shown this property. The lion emblem that they have etched in the Glass is a sign of royalty. I noticed on the fireplace they have a lion also ,back in the early days in England if you are in a noble family, your crest had a lion in it each family had a different crest. Very interesting who can afford to keep the update on that property is my question.??

Great home, but I don't think that place is abandoned. Someone must have brought it and is now cleaning and remodeling. That's why the dumpster is outside, they already got rid of the kitchen and the next load is all that stuff pushed to a pile in the middle of the rooms. That house is gorgeous but as far as what was in the wall I would leave it alone if I found it or lock it up in something I would not be the one who would want to answer for where it was. NOPE!! When he gets out I’d be like I think this is yours it was in the wall of your house. They sure had good taste that place is out of this world. Too much house to clean but they probably had maids. Are they just updating it and doing some renovations? Where’s all their furniture? An $8M house for $5.6M or even $3.5M is a crime in itself. That house reminds me of one they would have on Miami Vice to pretend they’re something they’re not. They sure didn’t spare any expense when they had it built. I didn’t like that brown square in the one room in the tile it made it look like you were walking into a basket ball court. The round glass paintings are ok like going up the steps to the right of the entrance but when your doing a large mural the paintings would have been better if they were Greek type forms and all the same size not a life size man with everything that follows behind his pic should be life size but their all miniatures of what should be life size figures. The all different colored ceiling and the other colors on ceiling messes with the ambiance of the rest of the house as do plastic plants. Plant real plants by the pool and real plants instead of fake ones on the second level to the left above the entrance. I have a pet peeve for plastic greenery and plants drives me insane.

Those are electric fireplaces. That is one gorgeous mansion. Still in excellent shape because of the power being on and the thermostat set to keep it from getting moldy.
