A tribute to the combined power of faith, this stirring song from the animated film ‘The Prince of Egypt’ seemed a perfect opportunity to invite our friends from the BYU Women’s Chorus to join us. Acting as the children of Israel singing a Hebrew prayer of gratitude, we sing, “In Your love, You lead the people You have redeemed.”

I’m a deployed soldier. I was looking for music to help me stay close to the spirit. I’ve listened to this song four times already and now found it on Spotify. It’s very lovely. My favourite version - subtle but significant change: when prayer so often SEEMED (rather than the original PROVED, or even PROVES for some singers) in vain. Our God listens, and our God answers! As He did with Hannah, that's why she named her God-given son Samuel (i.e. God hears; 1 Samuel 1:20). Thank you, BYU Noteworthy and BYU Women's Chorus, for making this song so much better!
THAT WAS AMAZING!!! Growing up, Prince of Egypt was my favorite movie to watch. But listening to this song again in an a cappella version has made me love it all over again! Thank you to BYU Noteworthy for doing this song!!! God bless each and every one of you!

I've always loved this song, ever since I first heard it.
And the feelings in the rest of the movie are just as well expressed.
Watching other versions of the Exodus story, Moses seems so bloody arrogant. But in "Prince of Egypt," you believe the pain he's in as the Egyptians suffer through the plagues. He used to think they were his people, and to feel responsible for their anguish was plainly torture for him.
You can see it, you can feel it, even though it's a cartoon.
And this song brings much needed joy to end his sorrow and bring hope to the viewing audience.
