    Love your painting. Marvellous!
I just started oil pastels as a break from watercolour. It's incredible how different the two mediums are, but what I learn from one, transfers to the other. I can't wait to be good enough to try oil pastels on wood. Does it have to be a specific kind of wood?

      Hii💗thank you so much!😊
Exactly! It's really fascinating that if you learn something in one medium, you gain skills in others as well, i know how good it feels.
I actually haven't tried oil pastels on wood yet, but I really want to give it a try. I'm still not sure about the type of wood, but when I do try it, I will definitely make a video about it.

I love your work. I have oil pastels but have never used them yet. I wasn't sure how to use them, so thank you for your instruction! I have a question though: once the painting is completed, how is it framed. Glass covered or plexiglass, just plastic, or what, please? TIA!

Well, I never really framed my oil pastel paintings, but I think glass should be fine.💖

I have tried oil pastel, but could not figure out how to blend them. I don't see that you are using your finger to blend them. Please share a tip on how you blend the colors? Are you just using the white or the skin tone pastel to blend them? I would really love to try them again, and any tips you can provide on blending would be much appreciated.❤❤

      Hi💖
I completely understand, before starting with oil pastels, I used to see everyone blending with their fingers too, and I didn't know how to achieve the same effect with my own pastels. In the next few days, I will definitely talk about this topic in my next video and explain everything that can help you. I hope it will be useful and help you to try oil pastels again.🥰💗

If you have an art supplies shop next to you, try to find Sennelier, they have a special blender stick which appears to be a kind of white but it is invisible when mixed. It can be used as a thinner or a blender.

I didn't know oil pastel painting can be so detailed and delicate. Do you think your tip for having a wide range of color options also apply to other dry medium like colored pencils? Many artists advise using a limited palette but I think that is easier to achieve in oil paint, acrylic, watercolor where you can practically mix anything with just 6 colors. However, my attempt to use a small palette with colored pencils are sometimes frustrating, because I think there are only so much colors you can put down onto the paper.
Oh, and how opaque is oil pastel? I'm most familiar with watercolor, so it blew my mind when I saw an oil pastel artist drew light over dark.

      Hi💖
      Thank you for your compliments.😊💝
Well I think it is said that it's better to use a limited palette for color pencils because you might get confused in the beginning and can't control the colors that well, but I guess if you have the skills then it's okay to use any colors, it comepeletly depends on you.
Whatever works for you then it's the right path for you.
Oil pastels can be opaque or not based on brands and colors, so sometimes you can basicly do whatever you want and experience everything to see which method you like the most.💕
