Welcome back to my Autodesk Revit tutorial series! In this second video, we will continue exploring the typical procedures and practices used in office projects. Building upon the foundation laid in the previous video, we will cover additional crucial aspects of project design using Autodesk Revit. In this instalment, we will focus on creating structural openings, importing families, creating groups, adding a chimney, and designing a complete kitchen from scratch. These essential skills will empower you to tackle any project with confidence and efficiency. Let's dive in!
1. Creating Structural Openings:
Structural openings are integral to the design of any building. In this section, we will demonstrate how to create precise and accurate structural openings using Autodesk Revit. You'll learn how to efficiently incorporate doors and windows into your project, ensuring seamless integration and proper representation of architectural elements.
2. Importing Families from Online Sources:
Autodesk Revit offers a vast library of families, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment. However, sometimes you may need specific objects that are not readily available in the default library. We'll show you how to import a car family from an online source, expanding your options and allowing you to create a more realistic representation of your project.
3. Creating Groups:
Grouping objects in Autodesk Revit can significantly streamline your workflow, especially when dealing with repetitive elements. We'll guide you through the process of creating a group that includes a bed and side tables, enabling you to easily duplicate and place them throughout your project. This technique will save you time and effort while maintaining consistency in your design.
4. Adding a Chimney and Adjusting Height:
Chimneys are essential architectural features that require precise placement and height adjustment. We'll demonstrate how to add a chimney to your project and accurately position it to sit 1 meter above the roof level. By following our instructions, you'll be able to achieve a professional and visually appealing representation of a chimney in Autodesk Revit.
5. Designing a Complete Kitchen from Scratch:
The kitchen is a vital part of any residential or commercial project. In this section, we'll walk you through the process of building a complete kitchen in Autodesk Revit. Starting with the base cabinets, wall cabinets, and countertops, we'll guide you step-by-step in placing essential elements such as the dishwasher, sink, oven, and fridge. Finally, we'll add wall cabinets and a kitchen island, providing a comprehensive understanding of kitchen design using Autodesk Revit.

For a fully comprehension look into all aspects of Revit, I have created a beginner to advanced level course: www.s15studio.com/
Thank you sir. Waiting for the 3rd part. 😊
Thank you so much for your Revit content. it has helped me grasp the basis quite quickly and easily.
Glad it was helpful!
I highly appreciate the passing on of knowledge. While at school, I know gave Revit time. But now am fully motivated to givee it time. I have learnt a lot in here. Bravo.
Where is part 3?
Hi, you can find more information on my website - www.s15studio.com where I have a 23-hour beginner to advanced level course.
Thank you teacher

at 50:55 you hit cancel instead of accept. OTB has been changed?
You should click OK to continue. When creating this video, I had already created that type which is why I clicked cancel, my mistake for leaving it in the video. Nice catch!
how to install the door opening/opener? I cant see it.
I am using the UK library, if you are using a different library, the door opening can be in a different folder. Here is the link to download the different libraries

Once downloaded, watch my video on how to install it correctly.

Chimney splits into 2 as we set the top to 54978mm. What am I doing Wrong?
Hi, you are not doing anything wrong, some versions of Revit have a faulty chimney that does not adjust the height correctly.
