When he chose his own car he should have went with the off-roading version not the race version since the off-roading versions just fast enough it could deal with certain damage and it would have made it up that road he won't move the fast one because it was just fast he didn't think logically he only thought well it's fast so I'll make it what she sort of did but once he got to the dirt road it was hopeless
