Red, well done. Nice job of keeping the ABA alive. You have a bright future.

My dad took me to many of those ABA Pacers games when I was young. Whenever the Pacers needed a basket, they would clear out one side and let Roger Brown take his man one on one. He rarely failed to deliver. In that championship series you mentioned, Roger averaged over 44 points per game. The only other player to do that in a playoff series was Jerry West. Before the ABA was formed, the great Oscar Robertson used to go to Dayton Ohio (Roger’s home town) and play pickup games against him. The word was that Roger held his own. Brown was the first ever player signed by the Pacers, thanks to the Big O. He was an elite player who would have been great in either league.

ABA games were broadcast nationally on HBO and CBS. In sheer numbers, the broadcasts didn't match the NBA, but they were available to everyone on CBS. Don Criqui usually did the play-by-play.

Moses Malone began his career in the ABA, and it’s my understanding that had his ABA rebounding numbers been added to his NBA stats, he would be third all time in total rebounds, behind only Chamberlain and Russell. Not bad.

Both videos you left out the record for most points in a single ABA game: Larry Miller. Also need to mention Larry Brown, George Karl, Charlie (Charles) Scott, Doug Moe. Also all of these players are Tar Heels and were coached by the legend: Dean Smith

Jabali never played for the Colonels. During the exhibition season the Colonels shipped him off to the Pacers because of an underwear dispute between Jabali (who was Warren Armstrong at the time) and some unnamed rookie. The Colonels got no one of significance in the trade. One of many dumbass moves by the Colonels.

Zelmo played in four ABA seasons, not three.

@SuperbSportMedia Great Frkn job. Perhaps an all time ABA squad. Any way you want to build it. Will be heavy on awesome small forwards as you know. Thanks for writing!
