hi, I'm not sure rp2040 it is fully supported, 2 months ago they did add a HAL - hardware abstraction layer - for it in the marlin code, so it might work but maybe not with full capabilities yet. you need to compile it in the same as on any ohter mcu. you eithet use arduino ide or visual studio code, and edit the config file and select the board with that mcu

yes you can, they are almost identical, the 2208 has a bit lower specs but unless you go high performance there's no difference.
