Sam, some extra information on the classic color: it was a mix of surplus army green and white, which was used to stretch out the cheap green as white was an even cheaper color. One of the founders was colourblind and he liked the resulting tone. Source: Former employees of Bruel & Kjaer.
Love those otherworldly tones once you got the setup going towards the end of the video. I could easily listen to a whole album of that. Also enjoyed that bit of banter over the colour of the machine. 😀

Mostly stuff I have got hold of over the years. A lot of the bruel and kjaers I got from emailing a bunch of universities. Some I got for free as they were in store cupboards. Others not a lot. Just over a long amount of time if you are a hoarder you end up with a lot of crap!
