Mahindra Thar Di | OG Thar | Drive Sesh along the bends of Kerala | Classics of India | Vlog #17

After the old Mahindra Major, we are here with the pre gen Mahindra Thar Di, enjoying its raw and old school charm. Driving along the bends of Kerala, its lush greenery and its mad traffic is me fighting with the Thar for more power which eventually manipulated me. Enjoy driving it.
If you could avoid my continuous chatter, you'll be able to hear the engine purring, which as Giovanni Giorgio says " is the sound of the 60's, the 70's."
Mahindra sure made solid go anywhere drive anyhow vehicles back in the days, however the reports and sources suggest various failures in the new Thar. However the new gen Thar is a massive upgrade over this car, which we'll be talking about in the video.

Oh very. It is a pain to turn these heavy wide tyres when the car is stationary with no power steering. Stock tyres are way way easier

Sir, is the AC an aftermarket fitment ? How's the cooling? Any problems? Also kindly advise the cost.

Hey. The AC is an aftermarket add-on. As explained, it has a small lever with two stage action; 1) to turn on the blower, 2) to turn on the compressor.
The cooling is really good. Infact it's too good as there is only one blower speed, and it's full speed.
It had some problems some time back but got it serviced at a good place and works really well.
This is a rudimentary setup, however more complex setups are available nowadays with circulation, multiple sites blower speeds, etc
Not aware of the costs tho. 🍻🍻

It's similar to stock. Braking performance is better but acceleration has taken a toll
