My physical TBR being almost 90 books is concerning, especially because I love buying books, and I only read one book since the start of the year 💀 Side note: as a non-native, your ability to speak english so fluently is something I look up to! One day I'll be able to speak english without having my italian accent shine through too much, or the words mix lol
we still have soo many months left in the year, i believe in you!! just think of how exciting the idea of all those stories waiting for you is 🥹💖 also thank you so much!! don't hate your accent too much though because it's just a sign that you know more than one language and you should be proud of that!!
Maybe you can still do the reading like *emmie* video to motivate yourself to read these books (and perhaps even like talk about past books you've both read)
Bella, you look RADIANT! 🤩 honestly I have over 100 books on my physical tbr 😶 I plan to get through a lot of them this year though! If I could be under 100 by the end of the year than I’d count that as a win 🫡
I think it's kind of refreshing to see someone with a small physical TBR on booktube! I'm also trying get my physical TBR as small as possible. I recently finally got my physical TBR into the single digits, which was really exciting for me, haha. I currently have 9 physical books that I haven't read yet. My goal is ultimately to get it down to zero. I've been trying to get there for years, but I'm hoping this will finally be the year 😂 Thanks for this video! I've also been super interested in Frankenstein in Baghdad for years now! Might be a good TBR zero gift 😅

(Let me know if you ever need me to write some Dickensian zingers for you.) 22:11 Body Keeps the Score! You are doing it, and that means so much to me. 26:12 Great things are happening 'up here.' So many great things. 28:35 You bring a lot-tle bit of happiness to my life. Thank you for sharing your love of all things awesome!
Holaa! Me encantan tus videos🥰
I salute your determination to tackle your TBR. Don't worry about letting go - the books will still exist in the universe and you can read then later if they call to you. Also, you can keep one book of a series if you only love one of them. And you don't have to own a book to read/re-read it, so you don't have to keep books in a series that you have already read just in case you continue the series. My TBR commitment - unhaul 100 books with or without reading them (I'm going to read as many as I can, of course), and in general focus on reading from my physical TBR.
Lonely castle in the mirror; everyone either loves it or hates it. I really liked it, it's an endearing story and you do come to love the characters as if they were almost like your children lol. Your TBR looks amazing btw!
i dont have a physical tbr but my virtual tbr, i have 60 books that i want to read and want to read half of them this year. i'm hoping to read my first virginia woolf book - mrs dalloway to start my march although i getting a bit scared that i'm falling into a slump because i havent read in a few days....💀 Love your videos as always, wishing you the best of luck in completeing those books - you can do it ✊❤
Great video, as always! I have 280 books in my physical TBR... 🙃 I do love being surrounded by books (clearly). For the books giving you anxiety, I say just start them. Either you'll like them and keep reading, or you'll realize they are not for you and out the door they go. Good luck!
this motivated me a bit to start cutting down on my unread books pile. i think i have more than 50 🤡 and i dont want it to be that way anymore. i hope you're having a good day/night, bella (and whoever sees this comment) 💕
omggg Romance of the Three Kingdoms I’m reading the Moss Roberts translation right now and I am actually vibing with it so much. It’s an ancient warlords but make them problematic faves vibe.
I am struggling to read lately, only reading a manga here and there and I miss reading novels but have no idea what to pick :)) something fast paced/easy to get through would be nice, but been struggling with whatever I start. My tbr is pretty big, but I stopped looking at it :)) Haven't been buying any books though, so that's good.
hi hi ! i only have two books in my physical tbr and it's mainly because i can't stand having too many. i'm the type of person to read books as soon as i buy them, so yeah :-) i'm rooting for you to read at least some of them before the year ends! thank you for this week's video, it always makes me happy to see you
This is impressive!! I aspire lol. I would love to know how you consider your “tbr” like .. I feel like my tbr is all the books I WANT to read. Do you not classify your want to reads as your tbr?
@@myajones698 yes! i also consider my tbr as all the books i want to read (which is around 300 lmao), but in this case i was specifically referring to the amount of books that i own that i want to read (if that makes sense?)
He Who Drowned the World is even more unhinged than She Who Became the Sun. I consumed it so fast. I also need to binge some manga and comics, coz some new volumes are coming. Good luck with your TBR!
I just read Metamorphoses in december. It honestly flies by. It looks daunting but the stories are all so interesting and the writing is very understandable.
Look at us going a month without buying books!! ❤ Also, sometimes I just think about that one Bronte sister that felt like she had to write a book because her sisters did. I don’t know which one it is but my bets are Anne.
it's so funny bc you and emmie are my fav booktubers (and hannah!!) but in my case i always have similar opinions with her, specially with classics, and i don't care we have different tastes i still enjoy every single one of your videos 😭😭🫂
I totally get what you’re saying about not being smart enough for some books. I can’t really recall any titles right now, but I will say that once I started really reading fantasy, I was very intimidated. My brain just doesn’t think outside of the real world, and I was impressed that authors could come up with such stories that not only included these fantastic characters, but also these great worlds that they built. Reading stories like this make me feel less smart I guess you could say.
i know what you mean!! i think when i first started reading fantasy i felt the same way you did but the more books i expose myself to the more my brain is open to new experiences and my imagination grows! so you're not alone :')
I have 70 unread books. 😬 A few are manga which makes me feel better. 12 are Berserk which maybe I can count as one book. So I have 59 books. 🤫Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the series.
I'm reading Crime and Punishment right now, and even though I have read classics before, every time I pick it up it's like I've never read a book before in my life lol. I'll finish it eventually.🙃
Work has been exhausting me recently so I’m watching this video to motivate me to read tonight once I’m done with my skin and haircare routine rather than just mindlessly scroll on my phone and sleep early so thank you Bella!😌💕
Okay first of all... You look stunning, secondly i have almost 300 books in my physical TBR so finishing it is NOT happening lol. Rooting for you girly!! ❤
I have like 60 unread books in my physical library and I've been trying for the past few months to keep reading them without buying new ones, I hope someday I'll have a small stack like you do
Your videos are always great :) I look forward to see your reactions to the books. For Ovid, the size felt less intimidating for me when I thought of it as short interconnected stories and how the pages have fewer lines on it. I liked the notes but I feel you don't need to read the notes on the text to understand the main text, some notes are just extra info about the location, customs or a meaning of a name. I also read the spoiler recap that's at the beginning of each book section (15 total) after I finished each book section. I liked how over the top some characters were but it's mixed with stories with tragic events and horror elements.
as someone who loved she who became the sun soo much and was very scared about he who drowned the world, it is good and you will feel happy and ok about everyones ending. i cant say the journey is all smooth sailing there is a lot of pain and the ending is tragic for some but also hopeful and not completely depressing so. it will hurt you but then you will be ok ❤ i hope this isnt spoilery for you, not that i told you what happened but i have kinda spoiled the vibes i guess. but maybe it will make you feel less stressed and more ready to pick it up 🥰
You look so cute in this video! I love the top and the necklace/earrings combination ✨I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts about He Who Drowned the World and East of Eden!! Also I bought The Romance of the Three Kingdoms on impuls when you unboxed it, mostly because of the illustrations, but I also haven't read it yet :omg:
thank you so much bente 🥹🫶 I've already started He Who Drowned The World so you'll be getting thoughts soon 😈 i hope that whenever/if ever one of us starts the romance it's worth it :omg:
I feel like you would enjoy lonely castle in the mirror and I do agree with everyone who says that it is slow paced and not too plot driven BUT it also has amazing character growth and deals with important topics like bullying
Bella, would you consider doing an updated version of the series youre currently in the middle of or maybe do a rank of the ones youve already finished, i would love to see that ❤️ you look stunning as usual
I have that one rule that I only have 5 unread books and 2 unread book seriesin general at home and it's worked ok xD I'm a big mood reader, and I always want to read the books I don't own 🥲 but currently I'm reading the 'court of broken bounds' and the 'shatter me' series, and next week my first 'attack on titan omnibus edition' manga will arrive😤💕 after your video I decided to do my first reading challenge ever and it was the same you did (with the spin wheel) I had max. 3h and I had so much fun. It helped me SOOOO MUCH to keep reading my book and to actually finishing it✨ also to make your tbr larger, I can highly recommend 'how do you live?' by genzaburo yoshino. it's a japanese classic (and my first classic ever!) and I love it😤 also maybe you heard about that but thats the inspiration for the latest ghibli movie, so maybe its something for you :D and also thank you again for that video, your videos are always very comforting and I can finally slow done✨💕 have a nice weekend
I need to do this with my books because when I own books my motivation to read them goes down. My reasoning for this is since I own it I theoretically have the next 50+ years to read it (if I don’t die before then). If I give myself a deadline maybe I’ll actually get a couple books from my physical TBR read.
i've found that giving myself deadlines really help me out but also remember reading is supposed to be a pleasure and not a stressor so make sure you don't forget that 😌💖
0:06 I'm back to my favorite place on the internet, yes 💗💗 And girl, you look stunning omg🙈🙈 5:07 Berserk has been on my tbr for a long time 🤔🤔 14:42 I remember I read Oliver Twist when I was in high school and I think I enjoyed it, but I would like to read it now in English, so maybe my opinion changes 😂 27:39 I have quite a few books on my tbr... I don't know exactly how many but there are more than 20 probably 😂😂 28:40 You are the most beautiful human being of this planet🥺🥺🥺💜💜
I don't need Netflix... I just need my books and #Throneofpages to go through. Keep it up, Bella!!!! We all love you here ❤ *There is a book I purchased and it's been sitting there in my bookshelf for a while though, and it is "House of leaves". Same as you, I don't feel ready for it... From time to time, I check it up, I go through its pages, but, still... I feel that I need to be in a better state of mind for me to read it. So, I totally relate.
Hey Bella, did you ever read the brazilian write Clarice Lispector? I think you would loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee her books!! My favorite is "A Hora da Estrela"/"The Hour of the Star"
Breaking things up in smaller parts usually helps for me. If the whole shelf is intimidating to start in I'd suggest picking a few books you're most interested in at this moment (3? or 5?) from the shelf to start with. So you have a smaller amount of books to tackle in your reading space.
a book that made me feel stupid is so definitely the name of the rose by umberto eco like !!!!! there are these multiple page monologues abt theology and the bible and so many random paragraphs in latin which i just simply... i cannot. and there is this one character that speaks this weird blend of french, english and latin, and since i only know a bit of french and no latin my brain just committed suicide trying to understand the character. had to dnf the book even though i was super excited for it DDD: (also the lonely castle in the mirror is SOOOO GOODDDD it was the first book in a really long time that made me cry)
Literally leaving a comment just so I can assure Bella is a bit happier BC of it!! Absolutely obsessed with your top and I'm so curious to see which books you'll be reading from this pile ❤❤
I mean you only have to read one or two books a month and will finish them by the end of the year. I believe in you! 👍✨I want to get my physical TBR down to a more reasonable number, but at the moment (if I counted correctly) I have 111 books on my TBR. 😅
bella, you are already beautiful, but on this video, you're ✨️glowing✨️ and my new hobbie is to watch your videos while I am coloring in my coloring book 🫂🥰🩷
If I'm being honest, I felt stupid when I got to chapter 11 (or something) from the picture of Dorian grey. Bro started yapping about crystals and perfumes for 10 pages or so and all in one sentence. First time I ever skimmed in a book 🥲 (loved the book tho) About the number of unread books. It just might be a little over 30.. but I swear I'm working through it instead of buying new ones. Literally just finished Addie Larue (wth was that?! It made me feel poetic about life. Absolute 10/10 experience.) And I'm thinking of starting Babel, but I also really wanna continue A:tla live action so gotta sort out my priorities 🙇♀️💅
THE TOP!!! (And the necklace!!)🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 stunning as always :)
The top gives me vintage vibes Really pretty!
i was gonna say! it's the first thing i noticed, it's so pretty!!

It helped me SOOOO MUCH to keep reading my book and to actually finishing it✨ also to make your tbr larger, I can highly recommend 'how do you live?' by genzaburo yoshino. it's a japanese classic (and my first classic ever!) and I love it😤 also maybe you heard about that but thats the inspiration for the latest ghibli movie, so maybe its something for you :D
and also thank you again for that video, your videos are always very comforting and I can finally slow done✨💕
have a nice weekend
@teddy- 1333 "I always want to read the books I don't own" So... Is there rehab to check in for this or...😅
@@Zuzi_Reads i dont think so 😭
East of Eden is the best book I've read in 2023 💖
3:28 One Piece is Love, One Piece is Life🔥🔥🔥
I just finished Oliver Twist and it did not disappoint for me. Such a classic.
I’m excited to get to it!
bestie is there still a favorite books of 2023/wrap-up video coming?? If not, I'm kindly requesting it
I need to do this with my books because when I own books my motivation to read them goes down. My reasoning for this is since I own it I theoretically have the next 50+ years to read it (if I don’t die before then). If I give myself a deadline maybe I’ll actually get a couple books from my physical TBR read.
i've found that giving myself deadlines really help me out but also remember reading is supposed to be a pleasure and not a stressor so make sure you don't forget that 😌💖
Bella looking SCRUMPTIOUS today literally slay queen ✨✨✨✨
thank you 😩🫶
0:06 I'm back to my favorite place on the internet, yes 💗💗 And girl, you look stunning omg🙈🙈
5:07 Berserk has been on my tbr for a long time 🤔🤔
14:42 I remember I read Oliver Twist when I was in high school and I think I enjoyed it, but I would like to read it now in English, so maybe my opinion changes 😂
27:39 I have quite a few books on my tbr... I don't know exactly how many but there are more than 20 probably 😂😂
28:40 You are the most beautiful human being of this planet🥺🥺🥺💜💜
omg thank you 🥹💘 I still have yet to read Oliver Twist but the more time that passes the less interest I have in it 😭
I don't need Netflix... I just need my books and #Throneofpages to go through. Keep it up, Bella!!!! We all love you here ❤
*There is a book I purchased and it's been sitting there in my bookshelf for a while though, and it is "House of leaves". Same as you, I don't feel ready for it... From time to time, I check it up, I go through its pages, but, still... I feel that I need to be in a better state of mind for me to read it. So, I totally relate.
you're too sweet, thank you 😩✊ I've heard many people feel the same way about the same book so at least you're not alone in this 😭
white is your color!! so pretty as always

UGH EXACTLYY
Hey Bella, did you ever read the brazilian write Clarice Lispector? I think you would loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee her books!! My favorite is "A Hora da Estrela"/"The Hour of the Star"
I haven't yet!! 👀✍️
Only unhauling 1 book with this challenge is WILD. You go girl 👀
i try 😩✊
You know you get prettier by the day 💌
you're too sweet thank you 🥹💖
You NEED to read lonely castle in the mirror! I love it soo muccchhh ❤❤❤❤
i will 😩🫶
my physical tbr is a mess! I really wish my tbr was smaller like yours :(
I now have a whole shelf that’s just dedicated for my physical TBR. It’s staring at me and I’m scared for my life
Breaking things up in smaller parts usually helps for me. If the whole shelf is intimidating to start in I'd suggest picking a few books you're most interested in at this moment (3? or 5?) from the shelf to start with. So you have a smaller amount of books to tackle in your reading space.
that's a great idea 👀 don't be scared, get excited 😈
a book that made me feel stupid is so definitely the name of the rose by umberto eco like !!!!! there are these multiple page monologues abt theology and the bible and so many random paragraphs in latin which i just simply... i cannot. and there is this one character that speaks this weird blend of french, english and latin, and since i only know a bit of french and no latin my brain just committed suicide trying to understand the character. had to dnf the book even though i was super excited for it DDD: (also the lonely castle in the mirror is SOOOO GOODDDD it was the first book in a really long time that made me cry)
(also i did just dislike the book for multiple other reasons but thats irrelevant lmao)
not THAAT that sounds so complicated and for what 😭😭 thank goodness you dnf'ed it it's not worth it 😭
Thank you for posting today 💕🌹
“I’m really trying out here! …I’m not trying that hard.” 😂
bestie?
I love u
girl you look absolutely gorgeous
Thank you 🥰
Literally leaving a comment just so I can assure Bella is a bit happier BC of it!! Absolutely obsessed with your top and I'm so curious to see which books you'll be reading from this pile ❤❤
thank you for making me happier 🥹💖
I mean you only have to read one or two books a month and will finish them by the end of the year. I believe in you! 👍✨I want to get my physical TBR down to a more reasonable number, but at the moment (if I counted correctly) I have 111 books on my TBR. 😅
thank you for believing in me 😩✊ alright but 111 is *such* a satisfying number...
bella, you are already beautiful, but on this video, you're ✨️glowing✨️
and my new hobbie is to watch your videos while I am coloring in my coloring book 🫂🥰🩷
you're the absolutely sweetest ilysm 😭💖
If I'm being honest, I felt stupid when I got to chapter 11 (or something) from the picture of Dorian grey. Bro started yapping about crystals and perfumes for 10 pages or so and all in one sentence. First time I ever skimmed in a book 🥲 (loved the book tho)
About the number of unread books.
