1:54 Red label was never sweet and it always had a smokey feeling, not as much as Black Label though. About the aftertaste, I can agree with friends that the 5th or the 6th drink starts giving a “soapy / detergent” taste. I’ve no idea why. You can’t go beyond 4 large ones with Red Label, it ruins the experience.

I am seafarer and have not only tried but finished min one bottle of all whiskies from DSP black to Double black lable, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet. In one sip you can not tell the taste of whisky even if you are every day drinker. Infact if you keep drinking one brand for many days it becomes your taste. Whisky should be judged on its next day effects.

Guy complains about Red Label being smokey but says Double black is better than black. Double black is smokey with more notes from their islay distillery. Second, double black isn't better because it's more expensive. It literally has no age statement. Just because it's expensive in relation to another thing doesn't make it better. This is what a DSP black drinker mentality is towards good scotch whisky's LOL
