Im an HBCU grad and I work with students who have Autism while we are at lunch my student likes to watch the the dolls and listen to Southern play. The rest of has been introduced to the HBCUs. I also REP PMA and PBS All Hail and Blu Phi

I don't get why all those people walk right in front of the band. All media should be aloud to record the band. Exposure for the school is exposure. This is a great way to get the youth in northern states interested in HBCU'S. Just don't make any sense especially when the other videographers content and vantage points are more exciting and visually asthecical to watch. That's how we northerners and others that can't attend the games are able to capture the essence of the schools spirit and love of music. The band is the the heartbeat of the school. Don't be a like a ball hog SU media team. Pass the ball be a team player! Good job Marvin Price! Thanks for this amazing footage!

I just wish it wasn’t during COVID smh. I feel like everyone has been robbed of a legendary season that’ll mark the opening of the 2020 decade. The year 2000 was very pivotal for a lot of HBCU bands. I was hoping the same for 2020.
I don't know dance techniques, counts,, etc.. but i do know "doing the damn thing" when I see it. The new lead (Jada) * hope I am right. IS DOING THE DAMN THANG. My Chocolate sister is putting stank on it every song.. Sting who?
One only has to look at the number of view of Dr. Price’s videos vs. Southern’s media department. Your videos are consistently better quality, because of your experience and expertise.
That “media team” is about to lose some viewership. And it’s absolutely warranted.
Dolls get 10s across the board. They did not miss a beat. These freshmen are really on point and they blend so well! The captain knows her music. The energy is great! The new catch ons are excellent. I am happy to see the new captain upfront. She is well-deserving of her position! I wish these ladies much success this season. The energy has been matched with the Stingettes. I am a fan of both teams.
Through all the adversity you’ve faced.. You always remained humble and stood up for yourself. You have bigger and better things in store I promise!

The only reason I ever started watching videos of the dolls is because MP. I don’t understand the need to hinder someone who actually brought these beautiful dancers to the world.

I don't know who is making these calls, but it is incredibly sophomoric to try to police the recording of a performance at a public event where there are no official rules regarding such. It seems very foolish to say the least. YES, the Band & Dancers are popular (partly because of the videos). To limit exposure seems counter productive to maintaining your brand's strength. The fact that people have interest in creating consistant professional grade content (at ZERO expense) is an INCREDIBLE marketing value! Management has it all backwards, here! They should pick a couple of unofficial production teams and allow them some level of access as well. Just work out clear & comfortable parameters. Don't they get it??? It is important to maintain the strong hold on Collegiate Marching Band Content!

HELLO! Started watching the dolls in 2014/15 on MARVINS’ channel. Back when they didn’t even care to record the dolls. Now they wanna do all this extra. If anybody been watching the dolls for a while they know Garrett didn’t care about recording until recent years. Smh.
Me for 1, I’m from Belfast, Northern Ireland and saw 1 of Marvins videos a few years ago and have been hooked ever since and I’m not even in the same country ♥️

He is invested in the Dolls and his work shows it. His Doll spotlights at the end of each season are priceless to each Doll and their fans. I dare to say a ton of the wide scale appeal of the Dolls has been expanded by his footage of them on UA-cam not those little clips on the official Doll page. Akai just so nasty with her demeanor and words your time has passed how bout you stay out of the camera and let the current Dolls get their shine from a videographer who obviously cares about this team! I really don’t think that the SU media team and Ms. A*ia realize what they’re doing by not letting videographers capture the dolls. If it wasn’t for people like Marvin, like Trin.t, like Mfcool a lot of us wouldn’t even know who the dolls are. If SU keeps this up people aren’t going to watch their footage bc the footage on their official page is mediocre at best. Anyways thank you Marvin for all the work you’ve done for not only the dolls but for the fans ❤️

You’re the only person I look forward to when it comes Doll footage, I say take your talents elsewhere because them trying to shun other videographers from filming the Dolls is only doing them more harm than good. I’m sure The Foxes, Orchesis, and Settes would love for you to record them.

This is the best first performance I have seen from the top 4 HBCU Bands and Dancelines. They really practiced and it showed. This eliminates all excuses.

You know I never really realized how bad they do Marvin until the footage for this game came out. Like Marvin is so talented and videos are wayyyyyyy better. I remember before there was Jukebox Media, the great videos of the dolls came from Marvin. They need to just give him his props. I don't like how they have him off to the side and his clips are so much better. This is coming from an ALUMNI OF SOUTHERN C/0 17.
All I'm going to say is Marvin you & your team must really love what y'all do, and we appreciate it. I saw with my own eyes today how you guys are treated like pure trash. Human Jukebox media should have spent more time worrying about why the dolls halftime video didn't play on the Megatron instead of blocking you guys view. I see why Trin sat on the other side of the field and got his footage. No 1 wants to be treated the way you guys did. Again hats off to ALL the other videographers-- you guys are built ford tough

I understand Jukebox Media is trying to monetize their content. Other orgs are doing the same nowadays. Plus they’re sending Akai to do their dirty work when they don’t have to making her take the fallout. That’s not cool. Do that yourselves. I think the videographers and Mr. Taylor need to meet to clear whatever is going on. I don’t understand why y’all were not allowed to setup on the track. I hope it doesn’t deter you from filming in the future because this fall would be amazing. Dolls have always been exclusive, but you provide the human side of them. So thank you.
